Free Media File Converter?

Been lurking around past 2 hours can't find a free one without a watermark, without spyware, or without a time limit. Time limit would be ok if it's under 1 hour. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Other good converters are Handbrake (handbrake dot fr, quite simple and comes with profiles for common handhelds like ipods) and SUPER (erightsoft dot com/SUPER.html, more complex but extremely powerful)

If trying to convert to MP4 I'm assuming this is for some sort of "i" compatibility. Go with what Niya mentioned, handbrake. There is no better thing for i conversions.

Niya's suggestion of SUPER is the one to go for if you want ultimate flexibility, more or less.

The download link is sometimes near-impossible to find though.

Handbrake, as DAK said, good for devices/presets.

haha i remember getting so pissed at SUPER's website layout, looking for the link in a hurry one day. it does rule though.

SUPER has been completely fucked since a couple updates ago and won't let you install old versions. Pretty much malware at this point. Used to be so good, too.

No idea about other good free ones. I just use pirated Adobe Media Encoder now.
