In a really unexpected move, NCsoft announced the sequel for the Lineage series, Lineage Eternal, at a pre-G*Star 2011 press conference earlier today. And yes, Lineage Eternal will be a sequel, not an update to Lineage II. According to reports, combat will be action based with players able to make use of objects to their advantage.

Also, L2 going F2P somewhere @december I think.

Lineage II was a god damn epic game and I wasted so many years of my life developing private servers for the game after retail bored me. This excites me a lot if the game features the free for all pvp we had in Lineage II.

lineage 2 pvp was insane.. bout time they announced a sequel. not sure about straying away from the camera-view that L2 had, but I assume there will be different camera options to have it like L2. still looks badass, hopin it turns out well.

Haha, yeah. Just watching that trailer you can see the system it's on struggling to run it. No way a low end system could play that, the god damn Sieges in Aion were bad enough.

Aion was bad, full stop. The reason I'm apprehensive about this game is because Aion has shown that NCSoft is willing to ruin their games with westernization. L2 worked because it was a giant pissing match that hated the player for existing. The quickest way to ruin this sequel is by turning it into a themepark that caters to WoW's ADD-afflicted tablescraps.

How much more of a diablo clone could it be. I'm really liking that battle system with the skill dragging. I'd be all over that shit. Call me a traitor but it looks good.
