Keep in mind Kanon is probably my favorite character and I've always enjoyed Tsugumi's catgirl like personality and behavior.

I just watched it (took a long time for subs to come out) and holy shit, Yu is my new (old) favourite character.

Straight.

I wondered how they were handle the King's Game, it wasn't nearly that funny in the game. But in the game this segment was mostly just nostalgia bombing. Next week looks to get back into the story proper.

Nisemonogatari Ep 3

Entertaining episode. aside from the awesome visuals, the show also seems to handle humor and pacing pretty well. I like how the characters are all aware that the situation is sort of ridiculous, but a lot of the dramatic beats and characterizations play off of the fact that they're treating the situation in a matter of fact way. Hopefully the series keeps it up.

I didn't think it was too bad. It just seemed like a lull in the action/story, Shu wasn't retarded which was nice and it had a good ending. More of a side-step, didn't get better or worse overall.

Idk, Shu running away when a mecha was rampaging the place seemed pretty stupid considering he is the only one around who can do anything. It makes me cry everytime his first reaction isn't to start pulling as many voids as he can since there is absolutely no drawback.

Running away and taking someone away is two different things and there was a very good reason as to why Shu was taking Ayase away from all of the commotion. Please refrain from commenting on things that you clearly do not understand, simpleton.

Ayase isn't as helpless as these students who were running in circles confused, it's not like she can't move or hide on her own. Wasting two precious minutes running away when a few of insane people are opening fire on you isn't the way to go if you want to minimize casualties. Shu has access to a power that has no limitation, and can be used at will...yet he doesn't use it right away. It's retarded no matter how you spin it.

My thoughts on this season:

DD's: I'm not really into boob anime as I just end up skipping to the boob parts and that's it. Surprisingly, I watched the whole first episode though. Start of the second though it was pretty much: "yeah I'm done" dropped.
Amagami: I watched the first season and although they started out with my fav of the girls I just couldn't get into watching it so I bailed a few minutes in. He already got the girls, there's not much left after that. And amagami wasn't all that dramatic in the first place.
King of area(arena?): I can't watch sports based anime for some reason.
Thermae: A short one but it didn't do anything for me. I like the animation style though.
Kill me baby: A dud. Incredibly flat to me.
Brave 10: I like it. Character designs are good especially the izumo priestess.
Nisemonogatari: I can't really remember what went down in bakemono and I don't think I ever finished the cat chick's ark but I enjoy the show regardless.
Recorder: 3 minute little short thing but i like it. First episode was a big WTF and then it ended. still funny though. Animation kinda blows but it's only 3 minutes.
Moretsu Pirates: schoolgirl pirates is kind of ridiculous but spaceships so all is good.
Symphogear: soundtrack is good, like the character designs we'll see where the story goes.
ano natsu: I can't remember the onegai shows so any parallels are lost on me. cept kotoko opening (and as an aside her voice quality definitely improved or something in this song but nothing else she will ever do will top re-sublimity/agony in my mind. i don't even remember what the lesbian mecha show was called just those songs stuck emotionally)
papa no ikuto: kinda meh but i did not expect them to off the parents. love the character designs and animations. will keep watching
inu x boku: shiiiit i don't even really care about the occult/magical stuff I was sold before the burglars even showed up. character designs i think are my favorite out of this season main chick especially. dat clothing
Another: seemed kind of cheesy to me but i like it
Aquarion: mecha and it's been a long time since vandread so i like it.
rinne no lagrange: hells yes too, more mecha and animation is pretty good too. blue alien-chick ranks 2nd this season so far
daily lives: oh god zaku and gundam lovechilds in the first few minutes yessss. going to be a great show! The wind is troubled today... Let us make haste before the wind ceases.

actually a damn good season i think. inu might be my favorite so far but followed closely by really everything else pretty much with recorder, brave and then papa bringing up the rear though. Are there any shows i'm missing? i think there's one or two sequels too? i don't think i saw the first seasons of whatever those shows might be though.

I mentioned it in the ecchi thread with a general bitching against "skin flares" that anime artists seem to have this strange fixation with in depicting some combination of sweaty/flushed skin. Even though my artistic background is hardly pro, it drives me fucking bonkers from the coloring and lighting aspect.
