This season isn't as terrible as I thought, but nothing stood out for me (except Nisemonogatari I guess). Left over from last season are still my favorite (chihaya and p4).

Doesn't seem to be the case unless this guy makes trolling his hobby/lifestyle, looking at his other posts I think he really just is like that. :D Well every anime has to have an audience I suppose.

But it is really misguided to treat anime as a higher form of art/entertainment. It has the same shit to gold ratio as any other medium.

I didn't think Moretsu Pirates was THAT bad. I'm gonna keep my eye on it for a few more episodes. Is the final verdict on Symphogear to just not bother?

Edit: The trolling does look like copy/pasta. I can't help but feel like I've read that before somewhere...lol

I still love the art and setting in Mouretsu Pirates. I really like how detailed everything is. Storywise, it do need to pick up tho. I'm going to give the whole season a shot regardless of that, I still have high hope there will be something worthwhile beside the art.

Symphogears first episode was very nice, but it kept going down since them. They will need to change the pacing very soon if they don't want to end in a train wreck.

Mouretsu Pirates really just comes down to how many episodes it is going to be. The progression seems like the story is set up to be really long, but if it is just going to be 13 episodes or something, that is going to be pretty disappointing. The opening and ending have a ton of characters in them that we haven't even seen yet, and there really isn't even any pirate stuff going on yet. Since Wikipedia shows it being a light novel that is still ongoing, I'm guessing they eventually want it to be 50-100+ episodes.

I'm mostly just enjoying Symphogear because I generally watch most of my anime with a friend, and she loves that stuff. >.> It will most likely just turn into your usual magical girl anime, but who knows, it could still pull out some surprises, maybe.

OT: Is it just me or is Kill Me Baby getting less funny every episode? I swear the last two have barely kept my attention to the screen.

Daily Lives of High School Boys is still funny, though naturally the repeated jokes lose their charm quickly so that was a let down. Hopefully they won't repeat any more, or at least if they do make them funnier.

I liked the second episode more than the first, but 3rd was boring. The biggest problem with this show is that they have a single joke, and they are running it to the ground really fast. I'm not sure I could take more than 6 episodes of this unless they introduce some new elements.

Daily lives..I smiled twice during the episode, and that's it. I'm having a lot of trouble getting into that one as well.

And where did you watch P4? Did you just download the raws, because I couldn't find any sub.

There's a group called [SSS] that has it up on Tokyotosho. Otherwise, I can't find any other subs for it.

And for the shows I don't write about, I'll talk about them here:

KMB: Pretty boring episode, the humor is starting to be spread to thin but I do like Yasuna and Sonya still. I'm not sure if the style of comedy will change anytime soon though so it'll probably get worse before it gets better.

High School Boys: Yeah, it's a comedy and I love all the comedies I watch but it's not meshing with me like it is for everyone else. Yeah, it's funny but mainly because they spend 5 minutes setting up each punchline which is 5 minutes better spent elsewhere. I didn't really laugh at the whole "stick = sword, let's LARP" but I was amused. Dunno, I guess I don't see what the big fuss is with this anime.

Symphogears: Been bored after 3 episodes so I'm going to wait and see how it progresses and decide if I want to finish it or not. Really not that good at all.
