Producer Takeda: Star Driver Film Plans in the Works

Seiji Takeda, the chief producer for anime projects at the television station MBS, said at the "Anime Business Forum+ 2012" event at Tokyo's Digital Hollywood University on Monday that plans for a film version of the Star Driver television anime series are in the works.

I just watched the first two EP of Symphogear and all I can think is that it's just 25 minutes of 'some anime'. It's like, I don't know, it could just be any random mediocre, no-story, fanservice mech-y anime made in the past 10 years with the title switched out and I probably wouldn't even notice. I just couldn't give a fuck about what was happening.

I love Rinne no Lagrange, it's like Haruhi meets Madoka meets Gundam. Do want.

Still like Moretsu Pirates with my brain off.

Finally got one piece up to episode 522. It then occurred to me that I haven't watched nise 2, 3, or 4 yet. So I just watched all of those... and fuck. I want more. I want it more and I want it right now. And not just episode 5. I want episodes 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 right now. D: I wish I could buy the blu rays, but I'm too poor to be able to do that.

I figured it might go like that. This episode was pretty funny the whole way through, though the parts with Tadakuni sucked. I was kind of hoping we'd see the ED play, cause that shit is weird and hilarious.

I am liking everything apart from this aspect though. I feel like this anime will get a lot better when they stop pussyfooting around the issue.

Chihayafuru: Nice episode, looks like a training stage type thing for a while, which I don't mind, but it was nice seeing them all progress and grow as Karuta players. Also good that Kana and Desktomi aren't useless lol

The ending was fine, but I hated how they tried to insert moral dilemma in the first half of this episode. Was it not enough to show that Souta's felt useless with his power? Did they really need the power level and ranking systems to get their point across?

I'm perfectly fine with Shu manning up. I'm also fine with the cliched "my best friend/love interest died so I'm gonna go berserk". What I had a problem with is the whole Inori "pseudo rape scene". I know what they were shooting for, to put Shu in I-dont-give-a-fuck-mode but why the hell have Inori resist taking her void during the time that he needed it the most, yet throughout the whole series up to this point, there wasn't a problem. Hell she even tried to force him to use it when he really didn't want to. Sure it was just a small scene, but it really is shit like this that turns me off from the show
