I love where the story is going now that they are in space. The beginning wasn't bad, but I hope we won't get another episode at school. Next episode is looking promising too.

Rinne no Lagrange
I wish this show wouldn't waste time on a stupid "love triangle" and the ridiculous fanservice, because it's definitively one of the best at the moment. I was worried earlier this season it would start sucking once they get back to school, but I'm glad my worries were unfounded, the story has been great so far, and every characters have been solid (including all the side characters). I even like Muginami after this episode!

Symphogears
Unlike Rinne no Lagrange, this is a good example of a show that went to hell after a decent first episode. Everything about this is below average, and I have trouble finding any redeeming qualities (except maybe the music). Last episode made me rage a few times at how stupid characters were...none of them make any sense to me, it's just awkward to watch.

Last Exile
Not a bad "LE: Fam" episode, but after seeing Clauss and Lavie, I want Last Exile 2, not this rehashed bullshit that is inferior in every way to the original. I mean, why the guy who look like Mullin end up betraying his side for the same reason Mullin did? Why did Fam/Giselle go through "we aren't cut for fighting" like Claus and Lavie did in the first season? I've seen that already...I don't need to see it again.

And don't get me started at how retarded sky pirates are in this show. Nothing about them make sense. If they wanted to rehash LE1 concept, they should have made them courier or something. At least, it would have made more sense.

Only good thing about Symphogear at this point is the music and animation. Also, that chick with huge boobs. I dunno, is there anything else to like?

Everyone in this show is dumb and I don't feel bad for them at all. And despite saying the animation is good, the fight scenes aren't generally that interesting so the only thing they have going for them is good animation.

Thankfully Rinne no Lagrange is still good. Preview from last week made this episode look terrible, but I was surprised that it wasn't.

If you're wondering why Symphogear seems bad, it's a simple, unfortunate reason.

It got a huge budget. I mean, really big. Was supposed to be 26 episodes.

At the last minute though (literally about 5 days before airing) they fired the director and cut it down to 12 or 13 episodes. The staff had to re-write the plot for one season and re-design their entire schedule.

I don't even know about the animation... It has its moment, but it also has some of the most poorly animated scenes this season. The first episode was very well done, but the rest...it feels like I'm watching cardboard panel move in front of a fixed background.

And I agree about Lagrange's preview, it doesnt look very interesting. Sadly, every damn animes must have episodes like that, and we will have to endure it.

I don't buy that. If the director was fired 5 days before it aired, there must have been many problems during the production. Somebody must have realized it was shitty, and decided to cut it down to 12 episodes and fire the guy who screwed up.

And idk, I can't imagine the dialogue being that much better considering how forced they are right now. I'm sure for example that Hibiki's lesbian friend would have been pissed at her for being a super hero regardless of the edit, and that wouldn't have made more sense.

And if they really had a long story to tell, they should have went the way of Xenogears and offscreened some content. At least, my imagination would have been able to fill the blank.

Oh, generally the animation doesn't really make an impact, but the fights are well animated enough to make me notice omething. There's more or less 1 segment per episode with good animation, but there's nothing outside of an action scene that amazed me.

I liked the episode, but I'm not sure if it's entirely for the right reasons.

The fights aren't bad, but I don't like how it contrasts with these horribly animated scenes. It became way too distracting for me, and I generally don't care about animation.

I'm still not sold on any of the DQ skit, and while i get dragon quest is popular in japan, I just can't help but wonder if it's just SE pushing the fuck out of it because they run the publication and sponsor the anime. Felt like most of the episode was wasted on that, and the funniest part of the entire skit was just imouto armtwisting them IMO.

Everything else was pretty funny, just wish they wouldn't spend that long on that DQ skit, though I suppose it's a YMMV like the Radio skit since my friend seem to love Sugita Tomokazu just hamming shit up.
