Um.. those fate/zero pages. If they put out uncensored blu-rays, I'm going to be curious as to how they handle this. I won't say interested. I don't really know if I want to see it..

Ano Natsu de Matteru CM
Kyousogiga..
What the hell did I just watch? It was like Robot Unicorn Attack in animated form.
The EveTaku guys put it best
Considering I just got the FLCL bluray set during black friday, I'm going to have to lead with a: NTTAWWT.Coherence: about FLCL level
Are they making a second season of Ano Hana? What's the promo for?
Rie has a great voice range. Underrated because people only recognize her tsundere voice. She needs more roles like Koto.
Kyousogiga was......awesome. I don't care if it was all over the place, art style, over the top action and randomness were just amazing. Can't wait for it to actually start.
If I hadn't seen her name in the preview, I probably wouldn't have noticed. It's easier to tell when you know she was doing the voice.

This role should have been enough to convince people tho.
If it does get a series....
I pray that this OVA is going to be considered a success, because its only flaw was to leave me wanting more when it ended.
I also wonder how a series will be played out. It can be crazy, but it's not a style you can use for 12 episodes. They would have to slow down the narrative and scene transitions to some extent.
I dunno, I just didn't find I cared about anything in this anime. Was there supposed to be conflict? Was that supposed to be a resolution or something? I don't mind being left in the dark, but I didn't find anything about this particularly gripping.
Visually I like everything it has to offer, but I don't like anything else about it. I'm probably alone on this based on the response so far, but I don't see the appeal yet.
Beside the awesome art and animation, there was fast paced slapstick humor and random stuffs to keep me entertained. I laughed more than once during this episode, and that's always a good thing
The story wasn't meant to be "gripping", but the director are fully aware of that. They were basically telling an abridged version without the character development and all the normal fluffs. They condensed 3 hours worth of content into 20 minutes and let you fill the blank...or something like that.
That's where the fun is for me however. The show was coherent enough to know there is a meaning, but the randomness make it difficult to understand exactly what is going on. I also found the usage of Alice theme to be very interesting (it's in the title afterall) because it give the world a shape, a structure. How was Koto before she went through the mirror? What's is the purpose of this world? It's also very fun to associate the characters of this show to the characters they are loosely based on (the twins are most likely Tweedledum and Tweedledee, then there is both queens, and the hare). Without this context, the show would
[edit]
I can understand why someone isn't too thrilled by this type of narrative, but I don't think it's the right way to approach this show. You have to see it like a puzzle or a game where the goal is to figure out what the fuck is happening, and fill the gap yourself.
Copying my post over from the Autumn 2011 thread with some changes:
Kyouso Giga was pretty awesome, although 360p webrip does no justice to the superb animation, art, colors, and action. I'll have to rewatch it once 720p/1080p versions are out just to get the full effect of the show. Love the visual style.
I don't understand why there's negativity toward the story; there's a lot going on and it's pretty well connected. It doesn't need to go from point A to point B in the 25 minutes it has, otherwise it'd feel shoddy and rushed. What it did do though is establish some characters and give us a view of the world they live in and the chaos they live with.
I like the whole Alice in Wonderland vibe they're going with and thought they did a great job with a lot of the analogies. It's not exactly clear what's going but who honestly gives a fuck when it's only a 25 minute OVA. You can expect a story if there is a TV series made from this. Glad that there were some scenes from the trailer not in this OVA which makes it promising for more in the near future.
I'd recommend people wait until the higher quality versions come out unless you want to watch it twice. Otherwise, it's fantastic!
It's not so much the story as well as the pacing. It's fast paced and frankly nothing is allowed to sink in before the next thing is shoved in your face. The people talk about "mother" and Koto's relationship, I WANNA GO HOME, 2 of these people want to bring her back but the other is hesitant for some reason. Then it's surprise you're in a game and oh it's your birthday Koto! How about some conflict for your present. Kiss, resolved. WELCOME BACK MOM. (Not fair I know, but lol.)
I didn't get/like any of the characters either, except maybe the priest guy. I guess so far all these abridged introductions for characters aren't doing anything to make me more interested in them.
I feel like the story has potential, and the Alice in Wonderland stuff is always interesting to see (especially new takes), but the way they told the story in the OVA sucked. I felt like I was just watching the animation and going along with whatever bullshit they threw at me.
Edit: And I can appreciate the puzzle aspect. I watch Penguindrum with about as much clue as I watched this, but Penguindrum makes me interested in the mystery, it makes me want to fill in the gaps with what I got. I dunno why, but Kyuoso Giga didn't make me care enough to even think about it. As soon as the credits ran I was done with the show, nothing more to think about because I didn't care about any of it.
