Ugh, Louisville played fucking terrible tonight. 5 minute stretch with no FGs in the first half, they went almost half of the second half without scoring a FG. Leading scorer went 0-10 from the field. That was just a pitiful offensive showing. I'm just happy it was only by 4, maybe it won't kill their NCAA seeding too bad.

Good chance with them owning the tie breaker over both UL and Georgetown. I'm not real concerned about the double bye, getting Blackshear some minutes will help come March. Plus, more wins will set up for a better seed. I really want the 4 Or 5 seed in Nashville, then Louisville will likely draw Missouri or Kansas, which I think they match up well with.

Went to the UL/Pitt game today. I think I'm in love with the Yum center. Played like crap and still pulled out a W, so I'm happy. They're going to have to find some offense if they have any chance at a decent tournament run.

GDI Kansas keeps doing it's thing - beating Mizzou...was watching the game with the family and everyone was so excited when Mizzou was dominating. Of course I, being the voice of reason, kept telling them KU was going to make a run, because all good teams make a run...they were still shocked at how the game turned out. I didn't expect Mizzou to win in Lawrence, but damn if it would've been nice to win a regular season championship in the last year in the big12. Last regular season title was back in '93 iirc when they went 14-0 in conference play.

Northwestern was like 8 or 10 down with a couple of minutes to go and has tied Ohio State up with 7 seconds left. Gus Johnson's voice is in March form.

...and Sullinger puts one in w/ 3 seconds left.

I was at, and got to go inside and look around for the first time at the Yum center the other day. Awesome arena! I only wish they would have picked another name for it. I'm not a big fan of all the traffic it's adding on main street and trying to get across 2nd street, but it seems to be getting better now that the Shermin Mitton (sp) is open again.

Getting out of the garages during the cuse game was horrible, it took no less than an hour and a half. That was when the I64 bridge was closed. I got out in less than 30 minutes at the Pitt game when the bridge was finally back open. They picked prime real estate for the arena...the 3rd level view of the Ohio is amazing.

As to Louisville, I don't know what to make of them at all. They won't be out of any game going into the final 3 minutes, that much I know. I doubt they'll have the offense to get past a great team, however. If they win 4 games between the BE and NCAA tournaments, I'll be surprised. They will beat Syracuse this weekend though, I have little doubt.
