Hopefully this isn't the death of marlin "swag" pie
How are they random? The problem with the TAC setups are they are random to begin with
In other games, namely MVC2 for comparison sake, sure there were infinites, but they were earned is the difference.
And how are these not earned? Have you actually tried to do them? You have a chance to break them, unlike MVC2, and even if you don't, most of them aren't easy to do consistently. Random people won't be able to do this any more than they're able to do rapid-fire seismos.
Fuck, if you play Vergil anchor and someone does this to you just because, they probably just gave you a free win.
Please, answer: what are the chances of breaking it?
Then, answer: if char X can only do it from 2/3 directions, and you try to cancel it, then they can just go for the 1/3 and get you 100% of the time. If you don't think thats retarded in a FG...then I don't know what else to say besides lol09er (I'll just leave that to the 09er SRK community)
Also, all chars so far with TAC inf have basically been confirmed with side and up setups.
Actually... Only like 3 afaik.
I knew the answers Leroy -.- rofl
If they haven't put a lot of time into practicing TAC infinites, 100% because everybody does down, because it's by far the easiest direction.
For every character that can do it, up/side is harder (in certain cases, way harder and for certain characters there isn't even a way to do a non-down one yet). If they have, usually 50%; the only one I know for sure has all 3 directions covered is magneto. That's not any different from any character with a reset that kills you.
Additionally, even if someone gets 100% consistent in all directions, people are still terrible at making random choices. That's how I landed 50/50 skrull resets 90% of the time in vanilla, it's not hard to read people if you're paying attention. It's not actually random if you know they have good reason for doing one direction or another.
This is also completely disregarding the fact that doing this is pointless with characters that can already ToD you with much easier setups, like Modok.
Maybe for the average newbie mvc3 player, but they are almost identical to Mvc2 Storm/Mags/IM/etcetc infinites, especially after guard breaks on incoming characters.
@Kaelan: Don't assume your opponent sucks. I almost stopped reading after your retarded answer of 100% lololololol. Anyone using these regularly after 2 weeks will not be using down as the only option, seriously come on.
The point also isn't to ToD you with 100+ more hits than a non-TAC ToD inf, its to run clock or get Phoenix to 5 bars easily while taking out a character. Also its not retarded to use versus a Vergil if, gasp, you have a Vergil on deck as well...
I remember now why I avoided this thread. Back to AE/EVO thread o.o
I use TACs pretty heavily on my team and I love this kind of thinking. Please keep it up, every player thinking "It's randomlol" is another person I get to beat for free.retarded answer of 100% lololololol
welt doesnt even play ultimate lol
Nova infinite is a bitch to do, just seems annoying. Can get about 2 or 3 reps of it before they just flop out of it.
LOL Noel Brown watches this on 8wayrun and orgasm'ed on stream
Justin's team just got stupid...
So.... maybe the question should be "who doesn't have an infinite?"
So is this bad or good? I thought people wanted more broken things so it could be more MvC2 like?
lol, Combofiend asked if She-hulk had one.
Waiting for that Haggar infinite.
