Pretty much every game ever with online play, especially 1v1 games, needs some sort of blacklist function so people just don't come up in your matchmaking results/can't get into your lobbies. It's annoying as hell when you keep ending up with the same troll.

I guess I'm not going to get the platinum trophy for this version either. xD Complete 480 missions! ;___; I can usually manage 7-8 missions per character and then it's beyond me when I have to start doing assists and x-factor mid combo.

I think regular MM is and would be lame like he was in mvc2. X I think would be pretty bad ass though if they somehow implemented all the crazy armor abilities he has.

MvC1 one or no dice. MvC2 he was so terrible. My motto is "if people can get over Captain Commando & Jin, they can get over Megaman."

Actually on further inspection, Niitsuma lied to everyone concerning Strider. He said it was a "issue concerning him not being Marvel-esque for 3" (he was), while he (or Capcom) made S-Kill tell the masses that it was a licensing issue a few months later (it wasn't this either). They were working on him the entire time I'm assuming.

So I got an Xbox up and running finally. Which of the new characters is a solid anchor? I don't think my x23 anchor shenanigans from vanilla will fly with all the new zoning tech. Feeling Iron Fist at the moment.

Most of the new characters can make pretty decent anchors, except for maybe Frank (who really needs assists) and Phoenix Wright, who honestly just seems terrible. I'd probably say Strider, Nova and Vergil would be best as anchors, though the last two are better as point characters IMO.

If zoning is your primary concern then Iron Fist is waaaay worse off than X-23. Now that she can cancel her DP into talon dives she has less predictable movement options in the air and even without that, well... She has movement options in the air. Iron Fist without assists is going to have a much harder time getting in on zoning teams than most characters, even with his ridiculous dash.

I'm not forgetting X-23, just putting her on point and dropping Viper. And yeah, never mind about Iron Fist. Dude is mad grounded and his random chakra changes are pissing me off with his rekkas. Capcom could've done some simple shit like S+A or B or C for each one but they want to make sure you break the game when you drop combos so you can go buy another one. Gonna go for the extraordinary guy, I never touched him in vanilla when there was Akuma to be played.

EDIT: Holy shit I'm in love with Ghost Rider lol. Easiest Mission 1-10 in the game and he's fun as shit.

So I've been trying to build a zoning team and I had never played Storm before, but after trying her out today on long friday night UMvC session with friends offline I have to say she's becoming one of my new favorite characters. Maybe it's just me, or maybe I'm just too used to Doom speed but I don't remember her being this fast. She seems so damn good now.

Definitely planning on putting her on a backup team in Ultimate. Anybody else play her and have any thoughts on good teams with her?

I usually play Doom/Sent/Skrull and I've been thinking of making her backup team to sort of counter some of the weaknesses of my main team, but I'm not sure who else to use. I want to pickup Dormammu as well and they seem like they work together pretty nicely, so I guess I just need to find a third and a good team order.

Strider pretty much fits just about any team as an assist, Frank as well for rushdown. Strider can also fit the bill for on point or battery, but you have to be extra careful not to get touched, is all. Vergil is also possibly the best assist for Phoenix Wright as well, due to the immense pushback he provides for evidence collecting.

I'll reserve judgement on Phoenix Wright, simply because of the Investigation <-> Court stances. People haven't been taking advantage of how it works; Order in the Court! automatically destroys bad evidence as well as places you back in Investigation-- players can take advantage of the extended combos into lvl1 in Courtroom mode while looking for evidence as well (it doesn't necessarily have to be a race to Turnabout as most are thinking). This allows for more of a rushdown (or a hybrid rushdown/keepaway) with a GTFO assist to throw people off guard. There are also various ways to reach Turnabout via using TACs. Still messing with PW, but there seems to be a lot of hidden tech and shenanigans with him.

Need that Brady Guide to be here like yesterday.
