As for the Spencer vids, yeah.. doing those combo videos in training mode and what not is one thing, but a high pressure situation like a tourney? Slightly more difficult.

Bweigelt nailed it, Nova is the new Wolvie in terms of popularity and hell even ease of use. Hit hard, has tons of safe shit, self-OTG, great hypers, fucking aegis shield...

Seriously though, most of his moves need an assist to be truly safe, all of his ground attacks from medium and up are pretty freaking unsafe.

Nova was going to be my point character as soon as that leaked pic of him came out since he's one of my favorite comic characters. The fact that he's a fucking badass is icing on the cake to me.

Also he's not quite Wolverine level, his air dash slingshot tricks and more damage combos require some decent timing and execution, unlike Wolvie who could be figured out in around 5 minutes.

wolverine ease of use? not really. none of his normals are safe, he has no dive kick, and nothing even remotely close to a berserker slash... his grown man combo's aren't easy to perform either. he's like another magneto with an OTG

Oh how I love his Berderper Slash nerf. Probably the greatest thing done between vanilla and ultimate besides Derp Phoenix. If only Wesker had gotten the same treatment, this game would've been a hell of a lot funner.

I wouldn't even call him another Magneto. I'd call him the newer She-Hulk model too many overhead attacks, and a Spencer-like hyper and manly-as-fuck combos.

nova is beast. he has unsafe moves+no spammy low but he has a sick cross up + mixup + reset game. fair trade. kinda hard to get in w/him unless you're good at reading when to rocket punch around, but like vs. a fucking bitch pussy dr doom finger lazer -> dive kick bullshit team you're prolly gonna get worked.

funny enough though, the best counter to lame online dooms is hidden missiles assist. im gonna level my doom just to fuck with people that try that shit on me. yes bitch i know all that you are doing is jump -> finger lazers -> dive kick + assist on cooldown. no im not impressed and if you were standing next to me i would laugh at you the whole match

No mean before he gets into that mode. Game 2 for instance he went for a long combo that he dropped when he could have just snapped in Morrigan or Dante.

Ok maybe I exaggerated a bit by saying Wolvie easy, but he's certainly not heavy on execution and big damage for relatively easy combos. I think we'll see a lot of him not only online but tournament tier as well.

I have to agree, Nova is pretty much on the easy side of command inputs. Not derp easy, but you could probably optimize his play in a week or so.
