Thats exactly why I don't wanna play with him. Then again I get that for using Wolvie.

At the end of the day, play whomever you want. However much I hate on Wesker players at the higher levels of gameplay, they aren't getting those wins for free (though it's to their benefit if they are a legit Wesker player like Viscant or WinRich). Tiers means absolutely nothing for scrub/beginner/intermediate levels of play in this game.
Tiers really don't mean anything in any game*
*except Fei Long
Tiers or no tiers, play a couple of bullshit characters with a basic Wesker on anchor and you'll body plenty of people (who don't use Wesker).
Cannot fully agree, lol. At a high level where most fundamentals and gameplay are fully mastered, it breaks down into a game of Yomi, much like SSF4. That and tools that overtake most of the cast. As well as ease of use. And you know Fei Long has the advantage on all at high levels. Wesker does in his own way as well.
Yeah, was being semi-fecetious. I guess more accurately, tiers don't really matter at the level that anyone here plays at lol, if anyone on these boards was that high level to where it mattered we'd be watching them at tourneys. Picking characters based on tiers for normal play is retarded, pick who you like based on playstyle, character design, theme music(for ArcSys games lol) and for Mahvel, your favorite comics/games. Any of that is acceptable, picking on tiers unless you're more than good enough at the game to counterpick whatever someone else picks is stupid.
Only reason you don't see me at tournies is because I can't find anyone to mod my pad.
I'd normally be inclined to agree but Wesker is just straight up better than most of the cast at any skill level. It's not really anything to do with "tier lists" at that point, but the fact of the matter is he's retardedly powerful, extremely useful (dat OTG assist is Godly for most of the cast) and very easy to play, especially if you throw Xfactor in to the mix. New players and your average joe will benefit from picking him up as much as any top tier player will. I still have no interest in playing him myself despite that though! I tried playing him in vanilla and assist aside he's just not for me, even though he is ballin'. One of the cooler characters in the game to boot so I can't really hold it against people for using him so much since he's probably a favourite of many.
Couldn't agree with you more. It's a hard thing to preach as well, which is why I stopped. As you become more and more legit with your favorite characters, you learn a few tricks that overcome tiers as well. Which is why I found that video by Max interesting a week ago.
You gonna be seeing me at tournaments a bit after I move. WNFs even. I love this shit and want to get bodied til I'm amazing. Probably will be one of the only Shuma players as well.
Agreed.
The skill cap for some characters is so retardedly low in this game that it's hard for people not to play based off of tear lists. (LOL PUN)
I suck at this game and I've shit on quite a lot of people with Wesker alone. I play him on point though if that makes me a little less derp. He's an insane battery for Spencer/Hawkeye lol.
Hey guys I don't post too often, but I'd love to have some people to play some marvel with. Im on PS3 and my PSN is Zeros7575. Hit me up for some games anytime.
Wesker is fun as fuck, especially when you learn his mix-ups (Using his command throw, not telegraphing your teleports like a retard, etc.) His level 3 X-factor is retarded though, I cannot deny that.
Thought I'd share. $150 for a Qanba 4Q with le free shipping is too good to pass.
Qanba Q4
It's too bad I'm poor... and by poor, I mean I can't buy it because I'm saving for family gifts.
Hmm I'm considering passing by and getting one. They really good? Never heard of the brand.
Edit: Ooo they work on 360/PS3/PC.
I've just been biding time till next major tourney for promo code or maybe a deal on stick + bag.
There is also http://eightarc.com/ps3-ebony. Their ps3/PC only is $100 + 20 shipping. Dunno how much more it will be to dual mod it. Not familiar at all.
Lost my shit at the Zero assist.
WHERE'S MEGAMAN
Qanba Q4 is AWESOME. I picked one up recently, and after doing my usual Seimitsu button swap I'm using it as my main stick over the old Avengers one I posted way back when in the SSFIV thread.
The only thing with it is the joystick and buttons are closer then you'd normally see, and it could be awkward if you've got hueg mitts.
Otherwise it's pretty much the same size as a Madcatz TE, though the internals are much better organized, leaving alot of open space if you want to go crazy and put LED mods or whatever in there.
