Vergil + any fast projectile assist that works in conjunction with his cross up special move and teleports work wonders. Just a suggestion tho. Lol

Vergil's a good starting point, he's a beast when played properly and like Doom and Wesker, works well with pretty much anyone.

You'll probably want to give him some kind of reasonably strong projectile assist (Doom's Beam and Magneto's DISRUPTA are probably the best, though you could make something like Task/Hawkeye arrows work if you wanted to).

Last character can be whatever you want, really. I'd probably play Vergil second just for his ability to make any DHC a kill, but that's up to you and depends on who else you have on your team.

I'd say be careful with vergil. He's very powerful at the little knowledge and extremely advanced regions of gameplay, and can be extremely unsafe at his "mid" execution range. His normals are completely unsafe, and one whiff can be your death. What's this mean? Lets say you try a block string like l->m->h, and they push block the m leaving you whiffing your H. It can't be cancelled into anything but a super, while other characters can convert whiffed attacks into specials.

As a sidenote, you can cancel whiffs in to any special move if you're in devil trigger. Lots of people don't realize this and it's damn helpful.

So I completely forgot to mention this (and I'm pretty sure nobody else did either), there's an easier way to do this than going through 2~6 hour long tournament archives. I just checked FADC today and it looks like Seb's been adding a lot of new features lately. It looks way better now than it used to.

If you haven't heard of it before, FADC is a pretty handy site for viewing specific match videos. Link to a random video as an example:

They have a pretty smart search too so you can, say, type in "ryu chrisg" and it'll give you every single video they have of ChrisG playing marvel 3 using Ryu somewhere on his team, sorted by date and tournament/event name. Should be useful for all the people starting out, or anyone learning new characters.

Nits, you may want to try swapping one of your two assists, since both of your assists cover horizontal space. Switch taskmaster to one of the upper arrows, or ryu to a tatsu or something, otherwise you just have a fast and a slow horizontal. IMO at least, that may help you cover your weak spots more.

I had it like that earlier but the problem was that if one assist dies, the other won't benefit, but you're right, to cover different characters, i do need to change tasks assist.
