Explorer not working.... Not Internet Explorer

So recently when I start up my laptop, sometimes the taskbar and background is unresponsive, I click my taskbar, nothing happens, right click the background, No good. So I open up Task manager, says everything is fine, nothing is being dumb. So I close explorer.exe and reopen it again and it works.

This seemed to happen as I got a Windows update and installed some video drivers, I tried system restore and What do you know, it's failing :/

What the fuck is up?

Along with that, I can't click links sometimes and sometimes when I click scrollable options I can click on the options.

Usually i do a simple thing with explorer.exe problems

find someone who has the same Windows version as you (to make less chance to bug)

So exemple W7 home premium english 64bits

Copy their explorer.exe and paste it on yours with replacing

I've been having the same shit the odd time I boot my PC also. Really is annoying as fuck when the taskbar won't do anything period, and Cmd+R won't get the Run window open so I can kill Explorer.exe process manually.

I think it's a windows update now, My netbook started doing it as well

I used to have this happen. I was not able to fix it until I reformatted, and have not had the issue since.

If nothing else, it isn't just you.

Open up task manager, go to its menu and and run... type in "explorer.exe"

What happens? Does it come back?
