Why would you want them added to new class(es)? We don't need another archetype to look for in every encounter, we already have four roles to fill as-is.

Because they already want to add another mage class, and it would seem likely that it would be an enfeebling heavy class. Maybe that is the route they will be taking arcanist... Just sayin.

Makes sense. Chrono trigger had cures used mostly by water based characters like Frog and Marle. Other characters could heal of course but in general water and cure spells go well together. I suppose the elemental cycle will be completely changed though.

Hey, if SE wants to make a Sword of Mana MMO, let them make a Sword of Mana MMO then.

Even in the XI/XIV model water is tied to MND, MND is healing potency.

Doubtufl, ACN seems like it is going to be skilled in laying magical traps or something like that according to Yoshida.

While water would make sense since it's usually an element used for healing (CT, Grandia, etc.) I do wonder how this will affect the elemental wheel.

So its completely doubtful that they would adjust those skills on a completely different class. Gotcha.

...Since it seems every class has a job counterpart, what would Arcanist's be, Red?

Hmm I think Geomancer was mentioned alongside Arcanist... could be wrong though.

Not saying they can't, but I'm sure BLM will get the usual.

And in all honesty, would a class/job that can only enfeeble be that good?

And Archer is still going to be useless for fights requiring any type of movement:
Welp. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news (to some, and good news to others, I suppose)... But the "ARC auto-attack" on the action list was actually a mistake. It should have read "ARC standard attack" which is what I've updated that to. ARCs auto-attack will remain a swift punch in the face come patch 1.20 with the manual shot process remaining as it is currently.

They'll eventually fix the action lock and Archer is going in a different direction either way.

But until that's fixed ARC will always suffer in fights where movement is the key to winning.

If Dark Moogles are anything like Ifrit, ARC is already SoL.

Mages are in the same boat. Deal with it for now because it won't be fixed for months at the very least.

As long as every fight isn't exactly like Ifrit, that's a good thing.

It's perfectly reasonable for some fights to be ARC-friendly (Batraal) and others to be anti-ARC (Ifrit). I said this when Darkhold was current: if your mindset is that the only fight that matters is the last one that was released, you are in for some disappointment.
