Shoe Buying Help

Anyone know any sites that have shoes at good prices? Looking for some decent work boots. Something along the lines of Tims or Wolverine. Also looking for a good pair of sneakers. Nike or Adidas preferably. Hate spending a lot on running shoes for work (I walk around a lot) and having them get messed up. Figure it is time for something a bit more heavy duty. Thanks in advance.

For boot/working shoes, I'm usually go to sierra trading post to buy them. They usually have bunch of discount, like 40-60% on all those shoes. Then sometimes, you can combine some more discount coupon on top of these discount.

I got my winter boot like only 40% of its original price, and running shoes for like 25% of original price.

Make sure they have some strong colors, nobody likes boring shoes.

I wouldn't ever use tims or anything like that. 5.11's, magnum, etc. At least thats what everyone in police/fire/ems use, but we also get extra discounts from galls.

As for my work shoes, and work boots I only buy Bates footwear now.

My bates fell apart faster than my 5.11's, but I really did like the bates until then. We go through a pair every 6-12 months.

I actually switched to low cut magnums, they are like sneakers similar to the ones converse makes. If it isn't raining or snowing, I won't wear anything else now. It's so much more comfortable wearing them for 8-16hours than the higher boots.

I'd say for shoes, 5.11's are alot better than the bates.... but work supplies a pair of bates every year for me.

For the boots though, have not had any problems with my bates boots. I've had them for about 14 months now, i'll try to grab a model number off them tonight.

You don't have to. My 5.11 boots and magnum shoes are only a couple months old, and since I'm splitting my use between the two depending on weather they'll last me at least till next summer or winter.

As far as sneakers go, my personal preference is Lakai Manchesters. They're comfortable as hell and last a long time cause they're designed for skateboarding. You can pick them up fairly cheap online.
