Wasn't there a story about a women's gym that wouldn't let a pre op join?

I thought for sure it was Curves a few years back, but I searched for it and came across a blog from 2004 whining about Curves allowing transgenders.

This woman whines about a San Francisco Curves letting in transgenders (it's San Francisco for fucks sake!) and asks if "real women have rights anymore" due to transgenders actually having some rights. She also seems to imply that some are men just wanting a peep show. (and her picture in the corner made me laugh even harder at the idea of someone wanting peep at her)

Do you not have male and female bathrooms in Europe? It's been about 7 or 8 years since I was last in Europe but I am sure I remember there being female and male washrooms. Female washrooms didn't have urinals if I recall correctly as well.

Some places do, some places don't. It's not the point.
The point is you seem to find it an important criteria to classify people by.
Did your family have different bathrooms for boys and girls?
There is no real reason to separate people by gender. If you can come up with one, please tell me.

I have never met anyone ever who leaves the bathroom door open while they use it and the only people I've seen in a bathroom together are parents with young children and married couples (of any gender combination). This situation is different for you?

I'm sorry that you don't see why, but everyone else clearly see's it (and you would think that would clue you in to some introspection, but oh well). It was people like you who either didn't have a problem with the "others" but were silently complacent, or jumped through flaming loops to justify their thoughts, that made some of the worst atrocities in history possible. Just have some solace in the fact that you're not alone and there are many, many people like you.

also, I feel bathrooms are a bad comparison anyways as peeing/pooping has always been considered a flat out private matter not limited to gender as is (ie I don't need men OR women seeing me take a dump.)

I was so surprised by the idea that you leave your bathroom door open that I missed the last question. I'm wondering, do you leave the door open in public washrooms too? It's just genitalia and natural functions after all.

I've stated many, so many, times that gender and genitalia are not the same thing. I've never once suggested anything to do with gender, simply genitalia. Why do you keep bringing it up? It seems to me that you believe genitalia and gender are so intertwined that they cannot be untangled. I am uncomfortable around naked people with penises. I am not uncomfortable around naked people who were born with vaginas and naked people who were born with penises but had surgery to change their penis into a vagina.

I don't feel comfortable changing in a room with a pre-op transgendered woman so I go elsewhere but that is discriminating, because I am oppressing the right of pre-op transgendered women from being naked with me and seeing my naked body (and yes, I'm not talking about sexual desire here). I find the intricacies of your argument to be fascinating.

How is it irrelevant? It's a natural function. Everyone does it, if they pee differently. Why hide how it is done if it's a natural function that happens in the genital region? Why have separate public washrooms for it? Why have different facilities to do it in? Why not just put everyone together in the same room without changing the items you do this in if not genitalia is different?
