you said your discomfort comes from the fact that they have different genitals that are not like yours. explain why the deformed and transgender are different in this case

When did I equate deformed with male genitalia? It looks like to me I was pointing out the obvious differences between male and female genitalia. Do tell me you are aware they are different.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

You can stomp left and right and moonwalk down the center about being discriminated against if you want to but at the end of the day you have a place to change, you're still allowed to workout at that place and the only thing the business is guilty of is making sure their changing rooms are safe by keeping dicks with dicks and slants with slants.
I see what you're saying, and I'm not really disagreeing. My only point was your general idea of it being ok for businesses to do separate but equal makes me feel uncomfortable.

I do think that without any kind of "regulation" then it's going to be something that has to be left to the business. I would say that they'd have to make some kind of notice about it so people could decide if they do want to go to that gym knowing dicks are allowed in the female locker room and vise-versa.

my friends and I joke about this at work all the time. we'll walk up to someone's desk, put a leg up on there and just start talking.

Transgendered people have enough bullshit to deal with in their lives for me to give them a hard time about which locker room they're in. Do whatever makes you feel most comfortable, ladyboys.

I think the main idea of change rooms are kinda getting thrown out the window if we want to talk about 'whos attracted to who'. It's then perpetuating the fear of gay and lesbians. Ultimately if were worried about transgendered folk, it's basically a huge judgement and nothing else. You are judging the person based on what they look like, so stop that and grow up.

No, I said pre-op transgendered women only. Post-op transgendered women wouldn't be an issue. The hypothetical issue would be that a pre-op transgendered woman, with intact penis, is encouraged to use the female changing room because they are uncomfortable in the male changing room. This is understandable. I do not take issue with their discomfort. My question is whether it's okay to force (lack of better word) other women to change their clothing with pre-op transgendered women without any other option available and tell them they are bigoted if they are uncomfortable with that.

It is a hypothetical question based on a discussion I had that I thought was interesting. I have never encountered this particular situation in real life.

well then I'm just confused. You said your discomfort has nothing to do with sexuality and only that they have a penis. That doesn't even make sense.

telling them that they're bigoted for being uncomfortable is iffy

but if they don't suck it up, or complain, they're being a fucking bitch.

I do not expect people to be sexually attracted to genitalia on their own and I am able to disconnect the person from their genitalia. I would personally feel uncomfortable changing and being nude in front of someone with a penis (other than my husband) doing the same thing. I expect that other people have no issue with the same situation. That's understandable. I was, however, informed that I was a bigot for being uncomfortable and that I should just "suck it up" (no pun intended), not provide a different location (like was provided for the pre-op transgendered women) and change with the pre-op transgendered women regardless of my feelings.

I was also wondering about women who have abusive husbands who might beat them for "looking at a penis" if they found out a pre-op transgendered woman were changing with them in a changing room. Or women who were abused as children and have a fear of penises. Again, both hypothetical.

Could say that to the pre-op transgendered men and the other men about the male locker room. Why say it to the other women but not the pre-op transgendered women and the men?

What about women who are afraid of spiders, and other women with spider tattoos in unmentionable places?

I think if you are complaining about transgendered people in any situation because of their transgendered status/genitalia then you are a fucking asshole. If you're just uncomfortable but suck it up, then fine.

    Hope that clears that up.

Interesting. You feel that it's okay for some people to be forced to remove their clothing in front of some people they are not comfortable with seeing them do this, but don't want to force others. And I'm the asshole?

Should just have the one changing/shower room and get the shit over with once and for all.

Will be better for the next generation growing up that can get used to the "We're all naked men/women in here, whoop de fucking doo" earlier.

transgenders are saying they are x sex. You are saying they should not be able to be with people of that sex until their genitalia is the same because it makes you uncomfortable. So yes, you are the asshole
