They both are actions a bigot might take. Others would be violence, demanding or expecting a separate space to change so you don't have to change in front of that subhuman, etc.

If you want to go to a bathroom stall to change because shit's weird, I get it. But it's clear that it's not that you're just talking about the initial "what the fuck" surprise of penis in the locker room, you're fundamentally opposed to being around it.

That's the difference. It's not fear of the unknown (a natural human reaction) it's a certainty in your conviction that your prejudiced actions are appropriate and acceptable - that's why you're a bigot.

I feel my actions and convictions are acceptable and appropriate reactions for myself. If I make the choice to leave to another room or business, this is my choice to do so. Just much as I support the rights of pre-op transgendered women to describe themselves and be described as women, I also support the right to my own privacy. I am fundamentally opposed to being around penises, not much will change that. I find it odd that it is being compared to discriminating against people of different skin colours because skin colour serves no difference in function, while genitalia do have different functions. If other people feel comfortable in that situation then that is fine, but just as pre-op transgendered women don't feel comfortable changing in the men's room people who don't feel comfortable changing around them should be free to move as well. I still find it odd that a bathroom stall is acceptable but another gymnasium is not, the choice seems the same to me, but such is life.

I get it. It's like comparing two sides of a magnet, when one is clearly positive and one is negative.
How about if we compared it to discriminating against homosexuals? Would that be more reasonable to you?

I really think you should stop trying to explain why it's not ok to discriminate based on skin color by trying to say they are just like you. The point is not proving they are same, the point is THE DIFFERENCE DOES NOT MATTER.

The value of a human being does not lie in the color of their skin, gender, genitalia or sexual orientation. I'd be willing to base it of IQ in your case, but can't give Leva that pleasure really. The point is, we are all people, and we all deserve to be treated with the same dignity.

Anyway Qbie has it right, that is pretty much the difference between using a bathroom stall and taking your business elsewhere.

Edit: I also posed this question on the other page but the OP never responded, how do you feel about someone who is genetically a woman (has two X chromosomes) and has breasts and ovaries and a uterus and a vagina but also happens to have a genetic disorder that caused a small vestigial penis to grow as well? What about people who are XXY chromosomes which can manifest in quite a variety of different genitalia, or what about a straight up hermaphrodite that has chosen to live as a woman but hasn't had the second set of genitalia removed?

Again, that simply takes it down to money, otherwise the result is exactly the same: dealing with it on a personal level for a personal choice about how I interact with my body with others. No one said anything about even mentioning the reason for the move to anyone involved at the gym, nor these screaming fits that have been habitually ascribed to me. One person changing gyms is not going to shut down a business. I did correct myself earlier about which gym to go to. I could go to a gym that offers individual changing rooms instead of banning certain people from changing rooms. This seems reasonable enough. I do not think the line for bigotry fluctuates around what is the resulting action, but rather whether enough people feel that the reaction is sufficiently valid. An emotional response of any level of discomfort, without prior sufficient trauma, seems to be the tipping point. I find that quite interesting. I will have to think on this point.

no you dumbfuck. lets say the gyms are free, you'd still be a bigot for refusing to do business with one that allows transgenders in the women's locker room. The shower/bathroom stall means you are still using the gym, you are still using the locker room (as those are inside the locker room), you are still participating in the gym's facilities.

going to a different one means you flat out refuse to work with the gym that allows it. Money has jack shit to do with it, and you are insane for thinking that's all that is the difference.
