Expanding the business again. Looking to hire a third developer on to our development team. SquaredSoftware is a SEO desktop development and internet marketing business. We run several sites dedicated to games, computers, software, content writing, adult entertainment, and basically anything that makes the money.

We run our our operation as a software start-up. Payment comes as an equal profit share, and equal workloads. This is good for people who are in college looking for some great resume work, and you'll make a good deal of money on top of that. Last quarter we pulled down $46,000, but we're looking to expand. We've worked with several large companies as well as smaller local stores. Some of our crew has gone on to work for companies like Destructoid and SEOMoz.

Requirements:

  • Decent experience with C#, PHP, and Wordpress
    • Must know about multi-threading, and HttpWebRequest, or a fast learner.
    • This is an intro-level job. College students are preferred.
    • Bonus points working with internet marketing, running your own blog, or knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (Not Required).
    • Will have at least 20 hours a week for work.
    • Our sites are developed in Wordpress. Some experience with developing and editing themes would be ideal (CSS, Wordpress, PHP, SQL)

  • Good knowledge of social media
    • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and social bookmarking is essential. It is a key part of this business and you need to feel comfortable using it.

  • Skype
    • All team communication will be done over Skype. We ask that you be online during the week so you're reachable.

  • Creative with ideas and coding
    • There are no general managers. Everyone works at the same level. Ideas are tossed around with the group. You should be able to keep up with the conversations and add ideas when you can.
    • Some of this coding will be difficult. There is a lot of reverse engineering involved. Creativity and unique problem solving is a must.

  • Team Player
    • It's already been said, but this is a team oriented job. We're not looking for a rambo. You need to be able to work as a member of the team.
