47 Ronin is a pretty lame story imo.
A master attacks someone after he felt insulted and is forced to kill himself after guards broke up the fight. The master's Samurai plan revenge for 2 years and then the 47 ronin assault the man their master attacked with overwhelming odds of them having 47 and their enemy having like 20. Then the ronin turned themselves in and all killed themselves.
oh and the "plan for revenge" is basically just the ronin buying time waiting for the dude they want to kill to drop his guard because he was expecting to be attacked by the ronin.
Obviously the movie is going to change 98% of all of that, but still doesn't make the material it's based on any more fascinating.
