Sorry nevermind.
Sorry nevermind.
Can you tell gearcollector where to store gear yet?
I personally don't mind sorting my own inventory, the problem is that the bf hates it and wants me to setup gearcollector or something for him, but I'm too anal about my inventory, lol, ah well. :/
You can use both to do anything you want really. Set your satchel and/or sack to offlimits in GC. Removal all gear from there and write an Itemizer script to put all of the items you want access to in the field into those places (obis, Tav ring, whatever.) Then run GW afterwards. I'm sure 99% of people would be content with this level of organization, but you can always do more too.
Having issues loading attainment; I have the latest version of Windower and everything, and even redownloaded it, put it in a new folder, and it still won't load. Does it require anything else? I can't find any info on it and every thread with the error I've found is just "omg redownload it and put the folder and dll in plugins come on it's easy" and yeah, totally doesn't do shit. It's like error 14001 or something, I forgot.
Then also wondering if anyone has the files to make Apradar2 work properly again. I hate not having radar...
My problem is that I use my satchel/sack for gear as well as misc. items.
If only safe/locker was all I needed to hold my gear...
Like I said, I don't mind taking care of my own inventory, it's the bf who hates my mess. (It's my mess, it makes sense to me.) So it's not a terrible loss, but I wish there was something reasonable I could do for him.
Then only use one of them for misc. items/consumables/etc., like I do! If you have more items then that, make better use of the Porter Moogle (to be honest, how often do you find yourself switching through more than 3 job classes in the span of a month?) If you can't get something to work with what's available right now, you're either not being creative enough or make terrible decisions about how much gear you practically need on your character at a given point in time.
I personally have to live off the porter moogle. I play at random at least 10 different jobs. First six jobs, sam, NIN, RNG, smn. Sch too. Cor also. Having all that gear available, without mules, AND organized is no small task.
Also, can't put augmented stuff back on the moogle. Soooooo...
Then you're making good use of the porter moogle (no edition of gearcollector would spare you from that.) You can write itemizer code to make that process quicker as well.
After this last patch, whenever I /shutdown anywhere, POL crashes rather than shutting down nicely like it used to (I.E. program not responding).
I'm fairly new to windower so I have no idea if this is common, and if it is, what the fix is?
halp pls?
Unload the plugins and if it doesn't crash on exit start loading them back in until you find the culprit. Used to happen all the time with v3.3.
Will try tomorrow.
alias gtfo unloadall; wait 2; input /shutdown
Put that in init.txt then //gtfo and never worry about plugins crashing again.
GTFO alias works wonders.
Now, I can't get screenshots to work ever. This is in my init.txt
bind sysrq screenshot jpg hide
this is the error i get
Invalid screenshot format specified. Syntax is: screenshot <BMP/PNG/JPG> <hide>
wut da fuq
edit: randomly working again now? idk.
How am I supposed to get gearcollector to work exactly? I downloaded the global and the file seems empty? I only has anything in the <ignore></ignore> portion. Is that right?
I see. Guess I need to check if my PC can handle it without slowdowns even in the most populated areas or not.
It should honestly... I have an OC GTX 670 videocard and a 3770 Ivy Bridge CPU, but then again I'd rather have 1920x1080 with a semiconstant framerate, rather than a 2x oversampling and big slowdowns in high density areas.
Does anyone happen to know if there is any way to get IME to work normally? I kind of worked around the problem by reducing the resolution so I can just switch languages using the taskbar and the mouse, but I'd be more than happy about a more comfortable solution.
Edit:
Found a solution thanks to a user called "Meg" who posted a guide here: http://forums.windower.net/topic/216...98#entry204098.
Most of the tips aren't really necessary, at least I didn't bother changing my settings to the ones specified there (though the large majority usually overlaps by default). The best trick, however, seems to be switching to Japanese Language Input Mode while still in Playonline. After starting the game, you can switch between hiragana-input and romaji-input using str+^ (the key to the left of the 1).
Having problems with info bar the plugin says its loaded but never actually displayskinda new to windower and its making me crazy lol
Can't get spellcast to recognize chatoyant staff, and equipping it manually and casting a spell crashes windower entirely. I've tried updating resources via the in-game command as well as using the radsources ones. What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: Apparently the resources I'm getting are from june, and the chatoyant staff update was in july. Where can I find current resource files?
