Just installed on new desktop, was curious as to how I would go about sharpening the graphics. I know ffxiconfig but I remember doing something to the registry or something years ago. Any guides or halp? ty

Short form, set 0001 and 0002 to your screen size, then 0003 and 0004 to 2x the values in 0001 and 0002.
Thanks! now my problem is that every so often my windower will crash lol. That and my youtube starts to fuck up whenever I have windower open, computer drivers are all up to date also v.v
Says Windows Kernel mode driver version 306.97
GPU driver I assume? I've heard some driver versions (even if up to date) can crash, so you may need to return to a stable one. Usually, the driver that comes with the disk is stable, but if you want to look around for a more recent and stable version, google + testimonies are the way to go.
It's driving me up a wall lol trying the new beta drivers and it still keeps crashing, everything else i find is like...years old and shit
Minor update for anyone who is having this issue, turn off weather, shadows and combat effects and the problem seems to have gone away. Considering the age of this game and how strong this machine is....it's fucking retarded but yea it works if you make those changes. Hope that helps anyone in the future with the same issue -_-;
Hi,
Not sure if this is correct thread for this question or RQT, please move if it is the wrong thread.
I am trying to get gearcollector to work. I moved my <sets> tags from an include file to my job.xml file, as it doesn't seem that gearcollector reads include files. After this the //gc war command actually did something.
It seems to open my mog safe and take out any gear that I need. It then just hangs, never puts any uneeded gear back into the mog safe, nor does it check any other storage locations for the remainder of my gear.
I set <debugMode>true</debugMode> in the settings/gearcollector.xml file but it doesn't appear to create a debug file anywhere. Anybody experienced this problem and know how to fix? I would really like to use this plugin, could save me so much time.
I'd like to apologize in advance if this is not the proper use of this forum, however, I posted the following on ffxiah and am doubtful as to whether or not anyone will reply.
Recently, I was considering whether or not I could use a bound key (or combination of keys) to control a particular variable in my spellcast.
I use a 360 controller and so I wanted to push the two bumper triggers at the same time and have it trigger a variable.
It would work like this:
1) Meleeing in haste/damage gear
2) (Pushes both bumper switches at the same time)
3) Variable is converted from damage to TH
4) Upon next "check" (post ws, spell, engage/disengage, etc) tp set incorporates TH gear.
5) (Pushes both bumper triggers at the same time again)
6) Variable is reset to tp w/o TH pieces.
Does anyone have a variable control that is switched via a binding like ctrl + alt that they could post?
I'm not aware that you can use windower to bind the joypad buttons directly, but joytokey.exe should work for what you want to do.
is there any good map plugin besides apradar?
Mappy
AutoHotKey works as well, script could be something like this:
Replace the #s with the numbers of the two controller buttons you'd like to use, and Character'sName with your character's name (you could actually remove this part, it's just so the command isn't sent if for whatever reason you push the buttons when xi isn't open. Then, in your spellcast you could use the trigger to toggle your sets.Code:Joy#Joy#:: { IfWinActive Character'sName ahk_class FFXiClass { Send /ma Trigger1 } return }
Would need the exe with that or just AHK?
Just AHK, it detects controller input. As a side note, I'm not -entirely- sure the syntax for two controller presses at the same time is correct, but that's how it works for Keyboard presses (^ is ctrl and ! is alt and ^!1 is Ctrl+Alt+1, for example), so I assume it's the same. If not, I'm sure you could find it in the documentation if you're so inclined.
I use it for many similar things, mainly switching through character windows with a right joystick press.
Switched to my my mule when my main is open, switches to my main all other times (even with chrome active or something). You can make toggles that switch between more than two, and I have before, I just prefer two.Code:Joy12:: { IfWinActive Jinjo ahk_class FFXiClass { If WinExist("Cheato ahk_class FFXiClass") { WinActivate } } else { If WinExist("Jinjo ahk_class FFXiClass") { WinActivate } } return }
So I got a new laptop and installed windower to play ffxi on it (Windows 7). I've run windower for years on my old desktop (XP). Whenever I needed to open a browser on the desktop, I would ctrl+alt+dlt so that my running processes window would pop up, also allowing me to use the start menu. I'd click on Firefox and be up and running, simply alt-tabbing back and forth. On the laptop whenever I do this, FFXI crashes. I checked the Windower forums and was told to use Ctrl+Shft+Esc instead. Problem is when I do that, nothing happens whatsoever. If I open Firefox before I start FFXI and leave it open I can alt-tab back and forth with no problem. The issue is basically getting to the desktop after FFXI is open with no other programs running. Any ideas?
leave a folder open (can even be empty, or the windower folder, w/e) to alt-tab to. then open w/e you need to open from the task bar/start menu.
You can do what I did and permanently pin task manager to your windows bar. Open it up, right click, chose pin to taskbar.
