nah
Week 1 thread I actually picked Gary Kubiak rofl.
Also picked Phil rivers as MVP. LOL
The Dan Marino 5084 Chase:
Brees: On pace for 5374 passing yards. Needs 264 yards per game in the next 4 games to break the record.
Brady: On pace for 5221 passing yards. Needs 293 yards per game in the next 4 games to break the record.
Rodgers: On pace for 5125 passing yards. Needs 311 yards per game in the next 4 games to break the record.
Eli Manning: On pace for 4941 passing yards. Needs 345 yards per game in the next 4 games to break the record.
In other records: Rodgers is on pace to tie Brees's 70.6% completion mark (Brees himself is at 70.4%)
Y/A is likely safe, Rodgers is down to 9.4 YPA (because his receivers keep dropping the fucking ball) - 9.9 YPA is the Superbowl-era record
Rodgers is on pace to finish with 49.3 passing touchdowns, just short of Tom Brady's 50. He's on pace to have 52 combined rushing and passing TDs, which would tie Brady's record of 52.
Rodgers' QBR for the season is 87.0, well ahead of Peyton Manning's 2009 record-high QBR of 82.3, although that stat only exists for 4 seasons.
Rob Gronkowski I believe tied the NFL single-season record for TDs by a tight end with 13, tying Antonio Gates.
I think that's about it.
Kubiak is voted coach most likely to benefit from a Peyton manning injury
Rookie Dan Bailey missed his 27th straight, tied for second longest streak in franchise. Longest is 27 by his kicking coach. 26 straight is now the current longest record for rookie kickers, previously was like 16 or some shit.
Most passing yards, rookie, season: 3,739, Peyton Manning 1998
Cam only needs 442, or 111 a game. He needs 703 yards, or 176 per game, to be the first rookie to throw for 4,000 yards.
Pretty fucking impressive, especially considering he has 13 rushing TDs and 518 rushing yards as well. He needs 297 combined passing/rushing yards per game to break 5,000 combined yards.
That would be pretty sick.
He's leading the whole league in rushing TDs this season too, I think.
Next year's sophomore slump is going to really suck for the Panthers.
If he can get to 5000, he'd be the 4th QB all-time to have 5000 combined yards - Marino's 1984, Brees' 2008, Culpepper's 2004, and Cam.
Well, and the likely 2 or 3 other QBs to do it this year.
At his current pace, he'd get 5088 combined yards, which would be the most yards for any player in a single NFL season.
Ever.
Of course, Brees, Brady, and Rodgers will likely pass that mark this season but yeah, shit's insane.
i forget the schedule, but it hasnt really mattered so far...think thats obtainable for him
