Brady's 2007 50-TD season was the 40th most attempts in a single NFL season (578 ) - over 100 less than Bledsoe's 691 in 1994.
Bledsoe threw 25 TDs that year.
Marino's 48-TD year was on 564 attempts. Manning's 49-TD year was on only 497 attempts. Rodgers is on pace for 544 attempts this year.
Jim Caldwell is also a terrible coach.
So then how'd the coaches suddenly forget how to make a system which facilitates winning one year when they went to the playoffs the year before... TALENT.
nowhere near as good as raheem morris
What about rushing TDs in each of those respective seasons? That'd have more impact on the amount of TDs the QB gets than attempts, imo.
it's a fair point, but it doesn't tell even close to the whole story. What was the % of throwing in the middle of field compared to the redzone?
And of course talent has a big amount to do with it, but people would have no records without the right system. And there would be no records without a talented player. It's not 90% player though
I agree, with Rodgers it's 100% player.
Thought it was 103.8% rodgers.
rodgers has the best receiving crew since the 2000 rams, and it may be better than that with the TE and a few more weapons. Pretty sure jordy nelson is ricky prohl v 2
With no receivers rodgers would just run it anyway.
I'm surprised Matt Ryan doesn't tear it up more often since he has Roddy White, Julio and Harry Douglass.
