Justin Blackmon.
Justin Blackmon.
Is an absolute beast
If I had known the kicker was a freshman when that happened?
I'd rather trust the most-likely #1 draft pick I have in my backfield over that guy from 35. All day. Every day.
Sort of like the NFL.. would you rather the game be in the hands of Peyton Manning or the foot of Mike Vanderfgt? Fairly certain all Colts fans would say Manning, lol
It was in the hands of Andrew Luck.
Remember overtime?
When he got the ball on the 25 and went backwards?
That was Andrew Luck.
I'm just sayin'. It's not like they completely stripped Luck of the chance to win.
No.
1st and 10 at OKST 25 Stepfan Taylor rush for 5 yards to the OKSt 20.
2nd and 5 at OKST 20 STANFORD penalty 5 yard False Start on Levine Toilolo accepted.
2nd and 10 at OKST 25 Stepfan Taylor rush for a loss of 3 yards to the OKSt 28.
3rd and 13 at OKST 28 Andrew Luck pass complete to Ty Montgomery for 3 yards to the OKSt 25.
4th and 10 at OKST 25Jordan Williamson 43 yard field goal MISSED.
Totally looked like all Andrew Luck there, right?
The playcalling there near the end of regulation + OT was Prevent Offense, plain and simple. Luck got them about 50+ yards down the field to get into position, and then coughed all over themselves at the end with the massive choke job.
Don't misunderstand me as taking anything away from OKState's victory though. Blackmon is an absolute beast lol
It was completely uncharacteristic, illogical, embarrassing, however you want to call it. Taking Luck off the field is going to get them hosed, especially for a rookie kicker.
If you don't think run run pass is Andrew Luck, I'm not sure what to tell you. You're not giving him enough credit lol. Not only is it what they do, it's his decision.
Actually wait, they did that wildcat shit on the first play in overtime didn't they?
That was definitely retarded.
If they run on first down and get yardage, that's fine.. but then they get the penalty, so logic says they'd have Luck throw to make up for it.
What's that? they run again and actually go backwards? Yeah..
Luck didn't stand a chance there. He was handcuffed by the retarded playcalling, lol
and I hit 21k posts it seems. woo.
Luck calls the plays >.>
Colts should definitely take him, too. Make him the heir apparent to Manning, a couple years from now if Manning still wants to play trade him to a contender for some more young guys to build around Luck with. I wasn't giving him enough credit before.
RG3 is still better, but Luck is absolutely perfect as Manning's replacement.
By the way, the big 12 cannot finish the bowls with a record as bad as the SEC, Big 10, or Pac 10.
6-1, the lone loss thus far being the last team to make the bowls. SEC is guaranteed a 3rd loss since one is vs another.
If K-State beats Arkansas, the big 12 will be 7-1, the SEC 5-4, the Big 12 will have beaten the SEC in their only bowl matchup, and 2 SEC teams will be playing for the NC.
Can you say asterisk?
I still personally think if Harbough had been coaching, they would have been going for the throat in that situation.
did he just...
you been taking that synthetic shit with Afreauxman?
Sucks how the Rose Bowl 4th quarter went, fucking Abberderis can't help himself but to fuck up on hugely important plays (mistiming his jump to knock down the MSU hail mary where he was in perfect position, fumbles instead of going out of bounds after a 35 yard pass catch down 7 in the 4th quarter...) and sucks not to get that final play. They should just make a rule like in baseketball (can't catch and shoot under .6 seconds or whatever) where a spike either can or can't get executed with 2 seconds, so at least you know. Having no tenths on the clock sucks in a situation like that.
Anyway, pretty nuts that the single-season TD record was tied and the single-season passer rating mark was broken this season....on the same damn team. Just sucks to have our by-far best all-time offense on a year where the defense is down. If we had last year's D with this year's O we'd be playing for the national championship. Bleh.
