huh? I'm not "sourcing" anything. I'm pointing out that if you go to wikipedia right now and look at bobby bowden, it says he's the all time wins leader and says nothing about joepa.

That would not be the case if they didn't vacate the wins. And it won't just be wikipedia, it will be every listing, recording, whatever from now on.

That's exactly how it should be, and that's what vacating the wins accomplishes.

People don't remember the 1919 White Sox being one of the greatest baseball teams ever. They remember the scandal. They remember Joe Jackson being barred from the Hall of Fame. The same thing will happen with JoePa to a certain extent, and regardless of what happens in the future, his name won't end up on an official list for most career victories, and no one will ever mention his coaching career without first noting Sandusky. The vacated wins are a minor part of that, yes, but still significant.

Also, I take pleasure in knowing that the vacated wins have Jay Paterno wound up like a bitch, still trying to justify what his father did while minimizing the true victims.
