    1. Drift was completely modeled after Springer who is not a fucking samurai. Him and Crosshairs just pissed me off as they were essentially made up and modeled after other existing transformers. Stop reinventing the fucking wheel.

    2. Lockdown looked more like Galvatron than Galvatron did.

    3. Galvatron is a fucking pickup truck.

    4. Optimus Smash puny humans.


    Short version, if you can shut your brain off for 2.5 hours it won't be too bad. If you are expecting plot development and story though, you will hate life.

    Watched a bootleg. Glad I didn't waste my money.

    Mark and John Goodman were the best parts of the movie.

    The way the story was set up was retarded. The military/govt worked WITH the Autobots in the 2nd and 3rd movies. Now they (the general public too, it seemed.) hate them all of a sudden, even after they saved Chicago? Looks like Bay was just looking for a way to give us a pissed off Optimus. I could see a private company taking the war relics and trying to replicate the technology, but the rest didn't make sense.

    No Unicron, more pointless human sub-plots, way too little screen time for the Dinobots. Fourth film and they still can't get Mega/Galvatron's canon right. The man-made Decepticon's transformations was a giant WTF, still no Hot Rod, or Ultra Magnus. Optimus killing humans.

    The fucking dialog. "Look to the stars, think of one as my soul." WHO WROTE THIS SHIT?!


    The Transformers lore has so much potential, but Bay keeps shitting on it. Throw him in to the sun, and give us a good reboot, Hollywood!

    The movie made about 200 mil over the opening weekend and had the biggest opening in China for any foreign movie ever (90 million). Sadly Bay ain't going anywhere.

    I watched that shit a month ago, and still loved the hell out of it. Sure, the animation and pseudoscience doesn't stand the test of time... but it was the 80s.

    That movie is still awesome, series too. Fuck outta here with that.

    Saw it today, had a few drinks beforehand, turned my brain off, found it bearable.

    Apart from the weaknesses that have already been mentioned, I'm so annoyed that Bay still insists on focusing on the human characters and not the giant robots when given the chance. The worst example was when they went to rescue Prime on the ship. Also, he's Optimus Fucking Prime -- he doesn't need anyone coming to help him, not even Marky Mark.

    The other thing was, and this has been mentioned, as a long time Transformers nerd, so much stuff felt out of character and did not represent the characters well. The most obvious being that Prime doesn't kill humans. Period. That's the kind of thing that has me worried about Bay having any part to do with TMNT -- he clearly does not know how to maintain crucial character pieces.

    Also, if Prime had rocket feet, why didn't he use them to get away when he was being chased.. like ever? >.>

    Oh, and why can't Bumblebee talk yet.. That whole point seemed irrelevant as soon as everyone knew Transformers existed.
