if you're not between chapters, you'll have to use your codec and call Customization. It'll reset you to your closest checkpoint, but after every battle is pretty much a checkpoint.
It will cost you BP though to unlock it.
20k BP for Grey Fox suit. idk how much the other skins cost.
    Grey Fox sword costs 200k

Fine, you can't skip credits, but bah, you can't even skip the post credits scene.
4hr 12min to beat the game on hard.

Ooooo Very hard has new enemies in places.
Fighting a Gekko in the very first encounter along with the three guards,
aaaaand I died. This difficulty isn't messing around lol
two dogs with the second encounter

Rented it, beat it, what the hell was that story. Really fun to play, was based more on player skill than I expected except the last boss, ended up killing them by nothing but forward square. Will either counter or do a launcher lol

first boss Ray is just as easy as he is on normal and hard. Only thing different is it has crazy high HP and does very high damage.

Took me 52min to clear File 1 on Very Hard lol.
Wolf Boss was still pitifully easy.
Mistral was also sadly easy until her last phase. Then she started just cartwheeling all over the place and barely gave me any opening while her little minions kept me from attempting to parry her.

And there's still an even higher difficulty after Very Hard.
Hmmm... never mind about what I was saying about lack of replayability.

People need to start this game on Hard, not on Normal.

Im too sucky at these games to start on Hard.

Also you can unlock all difficulties using the Konami Code so for a real challenge people could try starting on Very Hard or Revengeance mode lol

I was gonna quote your earlier post, but I'm glad you realised exactly what I was going to post. These types of games are meant to played through multiple times, usually you only see the full potential of the enemies/bosses in the hardest ones.

I've gone through this game already on normal as a warm-up, so very looking forward to going through on harder difficulties and learning the best stealth routes (for the sake of simplicity, I mostly just killed everything in the face).

So far the hardest boss for me was Monsoon, dunno why my brain didn't work properly for that fight but the rest so far have been easy. Regardless, I've had a blast with each one.

One of the trophies for this game is getting all S rank on Revengeance. Don't think I'll be platinuming this

It's mostly just figuring out the best way to get through the encounters. It helps that you can restart a lot if you fuck up though (I often did if I wanted to try stealth).

    http://spong.com/article/29051/Kojim...-with-Platinum
Kojima: I Want to Make Metal Gear Rising 2 with Platinum
The developer is one step away from being a "world class studio"

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has heaped a huge amount of praise on Metal Gear Rising developer Platinum Games, revealing that he would like to make a sequel to the action spinoff and would only consider partnering with the Bayonetta studio for the job.

In a roundtable attended by SPOnG, the producer also opined that Platinum is just a technological upgrade away from being "a world class studio."

"As far as [Metal Gear] Rising 2 is concerned, I really do have that in my mind, and I want to make it," Kojima explained. "And if we do make it, it would definitely be with Platinum. I don’t think anyone else could do it.

"Of course, my ulterior motive is that if Rising 2 came out, it would be guaranteed to sell! Which means that I wouldn’t have to worry about that with [new project, Metal Gear Solid] Ground Zeroes. I can just do whatever I want!" Kojima reveals more about his intentions for Ground Zeroes right here.

"Honestly, I’ve been making games for over 25 years and the state that this game was in when it went to Platinum... was really a mess! The fact that they were able to pull it off is very impressive," said Kojima on the troubled development process for Metal Gear Rising. He added that his one worry about Platinum taking on the job was its reputation for taking its time with projects.

"Platinum makes excellent games, there’s no arguing about that - but they’re not very good at honouring schedules," he laughed. "I made it clear that in order to succeed on a worldwide scale, you not only have to make a good product, but you also have to keep a tight schedule. This time, they came through and delivered the product on time. I think even [Hideki] Kamiya-san was surprised!"

Then comes the bromance. "Really, Platinum’s team is great at creating action games. They do it better than anyone else. I love them personally, as individuals... and now they’re able to do things to schedule as well! That’s very important.

"The one thing I think they can still improve on is their technological level. Their technology is not quite up to par, so maybe for the next project if we did something with them, we would maybe have them use the FOX engine. Or, perhaps their next generation engine. I’m not sure. But it’s the only point I would improve.

"If they did manage to get their technology up to par, then they would really be a world class studio."

Full interview will be hitting SPOnG soon.

    Fucking loltastic.

One of the reasons SEGA dumped P+ and Bayonetta 2 was because they hated that P+ couldn't keep a schedule. Turns out, you just need Kojima on your side.

I finished up another playthrough and I really do like this game. The only problems are the spaztastic camera during certain encounters/moves, sub weapons being useless and awkward to use (who wants to use a rocket launcher when you can slice choppers in two?) and the ranking system is a bit weird. Like you only get certain encounters if you fight everything, and if you avoid being seen you can't fight everything so you get a weird ranking as well. I'm not totally sure how it works (between stealth and combat), but so far it seems a lot like Bayonetta in that you need to fight everything with a high rank to get a better score? And the game is short, perhaps on the same level as Vanquished (and I liked that). It seems P+ on a deadline makes a really solid, fun but short game. Makes me think Bayonetta didn't have such a deadline considering the length and scope of the game. I think given more time the game would've been longer and the extra weapons (polearm, sai etc) would've had their own dedicate movesets rather than just modifying your heavy attack.

I love all the bosses in this game to bits. Each is different enough and fun as hell. Monsoon gave me the most trouble, but all of them were fun. Definitely looking forward to going through on Revengeance. The last boss had me in awe and stitches. This shit is going straight to the meme factory.

I think the only time I've really had trouble with the camera is when I'm trying to be stealthy. The way it reorients itself while you're hiding in a box against a wall can really mess you up when you're tracking enemy movement. Do the bosses get more moves on Very Hard or Revengeance?

I don't think it was a bad idea to make the DLC unlockable with points. Especially the Fox Blade...That thing is overpowered, when fully buffed...and even before then. The costumes are debatable...but on hard at least...it's not that hard to amass the points in a few fights. (Not sure if you accrue points at a different rate through different difficulty levels as I jumped straight into Hard on my first play through)

You get more points per rank, but you may end up with lower rank on higher difficulties and thus, lower BP once you reach Very Hard and Revengeance.

I'm going to attempt to platinum this game, but I know it's going to be nearly impossible for me.
