Yeah I think so. Was watching some videos on it and all of them showcased all three parts.

watched a japanese trailer for the game today and you know what's odd?
apparently the blood was actually changed from white to red for the American version
Wouldn't be a first. In the original RE, blood was green then changed to red once brought here, no? Though white blood or nanite blood or whatever the fuck they call it in this game makes more sense.
I've just reached chapter 4 after beating Monsoon. I've learned one thing from playing so far.
UNDER ABSOLUTELY NO CIRCUMSTANCES: Don't call people on codec unless you have 2 free hours to kill. Holy dialogue. I was expecting less from this than MGS 4, but the codec convo's are long as fuck.
especially since Raiden's white blood was in America's MGS4.
I mostly was just doing codec and holding triangle to skip them because theres a trophy for listening to "most of them"
Was killing time as I was doing some work tonight.
3000 Hits
10,000+ Parts (Caps at 9999)
1300ish Dwarf Gekko kills
600k~BP in 15 minutes
I was wondering about the whole red blood thing. Was bugging the hell out of me when I started playing it.
There's several codec convos with Doktor in chapter 1 where Raiden asks him why they now use red blood instead of white blood. Doktor claims that the white blood required frequent dialysis while the red blood does not. Raiden also thinks that the red blood gives you a "psychological link to humanity" and makes it feel like you're killing an actual human being, versus white blood making it feel like your enemy is not human. I might be confusing that bit with another conversation about cyborgs opting for dampeners to erase the feeling of pain, though.
I assume the convo is different or completely removed in the JP version.
Do you have to S Rank File 6 to unlock Chosen By History? I can kill Sam without taking damage but I take 5 minutes or so and end up with A or B. No achievement after 6 or 7 battles now. :\
Edit: Finally got it...Had Infinite Wig A on, took it off and got it on first try. Not sure why it mattered since I had it on for Sundowner.
Is a hard then revengence playthrough recommended simply because of wigs? I've read one play through is possible to plat.
LOL Anyone notice ninja cat right before the Monsoon fight? I busted out laughing lmao.
I doubt anyone could platinum this game on a single playthrough.
Don't even know why anyone would bother trying. It's a 5 hour game with chapter select.
and yeah, unless you use the Konami code, beating Hard unlocks Very Hard. Very Hard unlocks Revengeance.
Wigs seem useless to me even of Revengeance mode.
I was honestly annoyed that Revengeance mode wasn't unlocked from at least beating Hard mode, however after playing Very Hard all the way through and a bit of Revengeance, there's a definite learning curve they apply. Going in on Revengeance the first time through will turn this from a 4-5 hour game to a 10+ hour game because you will die.
And I've avoided wigs as I've always thought they lowered your rank, but if this isn't the case I'd probably use the sub weapon ammo one just because it makes stealth runs easier.
Sounds like I'll just start on revengeance for sheer challenge and added playtime if the wigs don't really help much (I.E. infinite climax, infinite devil trigger).
So far I've only unlocked infinite ammo and infinite FC, but I haven't used either of them because...well I don't want too lol, I can't really tell how useful they are, but I suspect infinite ammo would help a lot since you don't tend to linger too long in Blade Mode unless you suck at cutting.
infinite ripper mode seems pretty useful, although if you're going for S-ranks it can be a detriment as you'll kill stuff so quickly you can't rack up much of a combo. if you're on point with zandatsu's and not getting hit though, you can usually make up the points easily enough, haven't tried the highest difficulties yet though so I have no idea how applicable that is once you're up there.
I'd say starting on Revengeance would be more frustration and aggravation without learning from a previous playthrough.
Dying a billion times may add 5 hours pf playtime, but you'll get just as much of an added playtime going through a lesser difficulty first. Plus you may actually have.... fun.
I didn't use ripper mode too much, because I usually forgot, but using the Foxblade for fun run throughs is still very easy to get S. You can kill things so fast if you do it without getting hit, the speed bonus and no damage bonus almost guarantee S. Granted, I haven't played V.Hard or Revengeance yet though.
