Wow even the dlc is an amazing value. What a wonderful game and publisher.
Experienced my first glitch in this game:
I got hit while doing that "run up missile" prompt.
Kind of sucked cause I hadn't died up to that point.
just started to play the game last night. Haven't really had a chance to play it so I put it off until my schedule opened up a bit. Game is pretty awesome and everything I would expect from P+, though learning to parry is a bitch
Just a tip, I dunno if this has been mentioned. If you want to practice parrying, try starting the game on easy mode. It gives you an option to enable parrying by just pressing square or triangle (Effectively you'll just.. parry while swinging), without the use of directional input. That's helped me learn timing for bosses, then you'll be more comfortable adding the directional input on a different mode.
That reminds me of another tip...If you're using the right stick to slash in blade mode, you don't have to drag it from one end to the other. Simply pull at the angle of the stroke you want and let it go and Raiden will perform the strike. Learned that the hard way after using X and Y for a long while cause I was retarded.
^ that. So glad I haven't had much chance to play this game. I would've been derping the whole time without know that.
I knew that much from the demo, what I didn't know was you could use square and triangle to do it as well lol. Definitely better learning how to do it manually though.
The dog took me like an hour until I realized I could recharge my life from the mech (2nd add wave) lol. The directional input isn't the biggest problem for me, It's just more about getting comfortable w/the controls. If I keep having issues I'll definitely try it out though!
Is using X and Y noob mode? I haven't really noticed a difference between manual or input mode... seems more about moving the camera around to chop stuff up so you can get the parts you want
I find Square and Triangle to be better when cutting inside the squares because all I have to do is line it up with the left stick, which allows very fast Zandatsu's, and I use the right stick to go crazy cutting the fuck out of stuff.
Same. I primarily use X/Y for normal battles and Zandatsu while the Right stick for precision cutting where it's needed, i.e. Left Arms or S Ranking Armstrong Revengeance Mode.
Also, courtesy of 6souls from Best Videos, cause this shit is awesome~
You can get through the entirety of the game just fine with X/Y but manual aiming is literally required on the final boss (though you can technically skip the blade sections... you won't want to). I'd suggest at least getting used to it at some point, even if you only use it on bosses. As others said, just keep in mind that you only have to aim the slice and let go to do it, if you find that inaccurate you can aim and then hit X or Y to slice wherever you aimed, but it's not the most comfortable thing to pull off that way.
Is there a trick for nabbing left hands?
Aim and cut. Patience is your friend here, don't swing wildly for best chances.
Does he have his own story mode or is it just a reskin? Looks like a reskin, meh
From the pics, it looks like they're reusing levels but there are different enemies.
The flying dudes were never in the Japanese garden and there was never a Ray fight in the warehouse.
Oh, good point. I thought that Ray looked different but didn't notice the other stuff
Just in time, too. Just finished my S rank Revengeance run and all the VR missions last night. All I have left are the simple collection trophies (data storages, MiB's, left arms, etc.), so I should be ready by the time these DLC roll around.
