I'm still loving how every one bitched because Raiden was in MGS2. Now every one is like OMG <3 RAIDEN.

I remember reading Kojima wasn't expecting the huge shit storm with Raiden in MGS2, both being the main character and the hate for such a pussy, that the crew completely went out of their way to make him a likeable bad ass in 4.

I liked Raiden from the start. Sure, he wasn't Snake, but that was just it. Besides, he got to be bad ass by the end of 2.

He wasnt badass at any point in 2. That said I'm neutral to Raiden in 2; would've loved some more of pliskin schooling the noob though...

Wrong. Raiden was badass when he got the HF Blade. That shit was cool.

Yea...I was neutral on Raiden even though I would have loved to play as Snake. But once he got the HF blade...he turned instant bad ass.

Edit: never mind. I get what Salodin was saying. Yeah, I've never actually played 2 past Normal. Only 3 and 4. I plan to, though, for the platinum.

And @chazzyphizzle; It's at the end, before you fight Solidus. You fight 9-20 RAYs(depending on difficulty).

All I've learned from the last page is that no matter what Raiden does/did in MGS2 he was still a whiny pussy and it's ok for Snake to take out Metal Gears with a stinger because it's really firing giant copies of his schlong instead of missles.

Also that the people who really hate on Raiden must not have played the game.
