Left the RIT thread open an left the room. I come back and start scrolling down. Company asks what I'm looking at. *Stop scrolling*![]()
@SantaPic Did't even 'urt.
Is there a reason that the car moving isn't animated anywhere but right where he hit it and his reflection is missing on the bottom half? I call shenanigans.
It's not lights/camera angles. The gif isn't animated at all outside of the center (you would see grain movement). It was probably to save on file size or to shoop some people out or something.

very true, example(and this is a really good comic imo)
Spoiler: show
I wonder why it looks digusting on the real chick, but it does not look as alarming on animated chicks. Maybe we just apply different standards when looking at things we think of as real vs not real.
One year anniversary, lol.
Maybe, but I think it's just because she's about 2 inches farther in than the comics portray. I dropped her into MSpaint, padded her out a tad with a black brush and then my reaction to her was pretty much equal to the comics. Try it.
Another thing to note about the comics is (only referring to the images provided), only the first comic image provided actually portrays the waist straight-on and with nothing blocking part of the corset. Like Athas pointed out, some of the pictures of her don't look bad 'cause it's a side picture, and only head-on looks gross.
The uncanny valley interests me. No images to provide, sorry. I'll shut up now.
Same thing as anime eyes. You look at a manga image where a girlish, "kawaii" chick is looking square at a regular man, with regular facial proportions. All of a sudden, the anime chick just looks very, very wrong. Seems like we don't notice these kinds of things until they either cross over into such realism that it turns us off (think robots or CGI that looks "too" human, but has something off, like the eyes), or until someone or something else points it out to us.
I saw some dude's artwork hanging in some shitty gallery around here not too long ago and it was a series of photorealistic little girls and such all with completely normal features... except they all had giant doe-y anime eyes. It was creepy as shit.
