Oh snap, BL just beat all of Europe to World 3rd H. Madness 25. Grats to them!
Spoiler: show
who was 2nd? another korean crew?
Yes, Stars.
Wondering if the dual FL lockouts helped a-lot.
I'm thinking they did. The interviews with Kin Raiders suggests that they sent a lot of their alts through H FL to get geared up so they could class stack Spine/Madness. Without 3-4 extra lockouts since the patch, would they still have been able to beat the US/EU guilds?
Stars is from TW. Also, while BL beat the EU guilds by a day or two, they had a full reset head-start + raided through Christmas. All things considered, they would've come up around the bottom half of the top 10 yet again had the EU guilds not exploited LFR.
I thought BL got hit with some LFR bans as well?
Only in the world of MMO's is "let's not cheat" not only a "strategic decision," but one that leads to "well they only got it cuz blah blah."
Oh I got them confused with Exodus, nvm.
A lot of truth in this, for the longest time the old rules were 'exploit early, exploit often' and Top 50 guilds would use every goddamn advantage available to progress ahead of Blizzard's ability to hotfix bugs. It was a weird time when the community would decide for itself what constituted exploits Blizzard should let you coast for (Spyglass on Rag-40) vs exploits deserving bans (removing walls in AQ-40). I guess since the Exodus Yogg-0 kill anything that breaks boss or loot mechanics is an insta-ban but the old ways linger; You risk your top spot in competitive raiding if you aren't pushing the absolute limit of exploiting like you always did.
It's also far from being just WoW.
Mostly I just find morons that say shit like "well they only won cuz other guilds got punished for their cheating, if they just let everyone cheat no way they would have got it!" absolutely hilarious.
