I suppose having AI on the mob to detect stacked setups would work but that's adding annoying restrictions.
Damn, SE has you brainwashed GOOD. Also, not sure if trolling. I would certainly believe it.

I didn't see it mentioned in the notes, but I've been able to successfully reconnect my wireless controller a couple of times since 1.20 without restarting the game.

Xbox controller? If this is true, I'll be playing A LOT more. I'll test it out when I get home from work.

This wasn't mentioned in the notes but inventory/equipment screen icons (armors/weapons/items) are much sharper than before.

It looks like they ran every icon through a shitty "sharpen more" filter. It looks bad. Little white specks around the edges of everything.

Who was it that said they logged on and tried to fight a Lv59 solo...? -_-

Better than that blurry shit before.

Edit: Something else I just noticed: game doesnt crash in Grid (checking map, checking people from Grid) while using a different font.

Yeah. Reconnected 4 times yesterday and today while in game, and no problems.

What would make things more interesting is instead of a battlefield with 1 fight in it, have an actual dungeon with multiple bosses that are all different types of fights, like any other MMO that has come out since the beginning of MMO's, other than ones SE makes. Then you will have to build a solid all around group for it, not just stack it for whats best on one fight. Might take more than 4 hours after release for people to clear the whole thing too.

While I wholeheartedly support the addition of what you're suggesting here, you're still going to end up with cookie-cutter exploitive job combos for certain bosses simply because everyone can level everything and can switch job--er, classes at will.

Incoming FFXI-salvage-esque battlefield with an "unable to switch classes" pathos.

Well, I personally think there should be a job lock when you enter a dungeon, for that and also so that content below max level will see some use. If they don't do something like that then there is little reason to make another instance like toto-rak, people do it once to get there company quest completion for chocobo, and thats about it.

Add: Actually, they might do it again to get a certain weapon or something for leveling another job. But since people can solo it on a 50 for those items, why put together a level 30-35 group for it?

Capped versions of dungeons that have the same enemies but provide far more loot at the end than the uncapped versions of lowbie dungeons might provide some incentive. Would have to be rewarding enough to offset the ease and speed at which you can clear it uncapped though.
That's just off the top of my head, maybe Square could come up with something better.

Off the top of my head:

Straight xp bonus on mobs in dungeon settings.
Series of quests that cant be completed in one run, in other words successive tiers.
    Achievements related rewards.

Who knows how many other good ideas the average player could come up with for this.

I suppose they could expand airships at some point, there's airship docks scattered around the zones that aren't in use. But with the map redesigns coming next year I can't see those ever being used. Maybe the new zones will be designed with travel in mind.

Biggest thing putting me off playing is lack of content. Even when I cancel my alts I don't think I'll run out of anima. I never use 6 anima ports and I'm smart with leves. Like I can do 20 fishing leves at the same camp using return - 2 anima port repeat and only use 20 anima in total.
For one, they should add chocobos to every camps for players who don't have one or are too low.

Secondly, accepting any quests should teleport you to a meaningful location related to it. I can only run to the Quarry Mill so many times in one day before getting annoyed. Does anyone really enjoy that?

What is the purpose of anima in the first place? It just punish people who want to travel around and visit different place. It end up forcing people to follow a routine (same town, same level camp). I don't know about you, but I don't think it's a fun resource to deal with. It add nothing when you don't play a lot, and it's an annoyance when you do play the game.

A system like Xenoblade where you can teleport to any landmarks at will would probably work much better here. You still walk enough to see the world, but you can play at your own pace and are rarely forced into pointless walking.

Nothing rapes anima more than new quests, but even without that, anima regen forces you to grind leves in one region, and that alone is one huge turn off.

Yeah, Teleporting around is kinda lame in XIV, everytime a new line of quests that come out you'll blow through anima. I actually loved the way lineage 1 handled traveling with scrolls of teleport and blessed scrolls of teleport.

Scroll of Teleport just tele'ed you to random areas.
Blessed scrolls of teleport(HQ tele scrolls) allowed you to tele to specific towns.
If you had a rare item "Ring of Teleport control" you could tele to any location you saved if you typed /save location.

Should be level 5 with the current game design

    [edit]
No point arguing with you however, you're too used to mediocrity to see how fucking terrible FFXIV still is.

Might be level 25, but getting seals is pain in the ass.
