A decision by retail giant Lowe's Home Improvement to pull ads from a reality show about American Muslims following protests from an evangelical Christian group has sparked criticism and calls for a boycott against the chain.

The retailer stopped advertising on TLC's "All-American Muslim" after a conservative group known as the Florida Family Association complained, saying the program was "propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda's clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values."

Lowes said it felt it shouldnt get involved in what it called a, 'community issue' - as if those Evangelicals are going to see the other side. The show is meant, intentionally (in light of 9/11 and the Iraq War), to humanize Muslim Americans.

Anyways, i think you can draw Mohammed all you want. There is a difference though because people end up drawing him as a pig or something vulgar. What you may argue is a free speech issue becomes just a way to insult a religion you harbor bigoted views toward.

It comes down to, fuck the terrorists and radical islam versus the Muslim American majority who are not terrorists but get lumped into the bunch because you're doing something they find offensive.

Oh and you can do this because Muslims have no political captial.
