    Don't confuse design with form. The design is extremely successful in that it breaks the norm for skyscrapers being skin-loaded, extruded squares - effectively allowing for an all new experience of horizontal integration and space.

    Now the form on the other hand could be disputed as ugly or beautiful. I believe they meant the form to be contextual to SK (tight spaces: high density). But I have no idea if that's true or if that's just the way that firm likes to design. (Daylighting and passive systems are srs business)

    The problem with arcologies is that if you build more than 300 they all fly off into space.
