Pretty sure I've seen other videos featuring this jackass. I think it was about the Playstation 3.

I know man, our price inflation rate has been nuts. I mean, it almost hit 4% one year in the past 10.

Here's a better chart. Our last year of 4+% price inflation was in 1991.

I'm sure our money will be worthless by the wheelbarrel shortly at this rate.

Well, yes and no. Dollar keeps getting more and more worthless, but it's not really due to inflation. Compared to the SEK; last decade it was on a 10:1 ratio for dollar:SEK. Now it's on a 6:1 ratio. It's lost a lot of value compared to the Euro as well, but the main reason is the war against terror.

I'm not complaining though, I can buy stuff at half the price from America.

Can you tell us how Ron Paul feels about Israel in the form of a YouTube video or link to a website? Because I can assure you I don't know and I'm totally not asking because I already know and just making a point.

One caveat though is can you wait a few days after the conversation has moved on before you answer? Thanks in advance.

just so you know, this entire thread is barely 1 day old

No, totally I mean it's a good thing that most of the stuff we buy isn't imported or else it would be really expensive for us.

A government can devalue currency in order to raise exports and produce more employment. You'd have to be a fool (or you'd have to be after exchanger rate stability via currency peg) to want your government to not be able to devalue a currency. Furthermore, inflation doesn't just raise the price of commodities, it also raises the price of labor, so unless you're some sort of investor, i don't see why you give a fuck about inflation.

That's why i hate you libertarians. You're fucking distractions when there are much more pressing things to fight against, such as people who are actually in positions of power, such as neoliberals.

The gov can achieve that same thing by taxation, but inflation provoke less lynch-mobs in the short run.

A 98% devaluation in 98 years. 7% inflation for 10 years, you do the math. Real CPI has been close to 10% since 08.

the guideline they use doesn't fit my libertarian conspiracy, use one that does!

And another thing i hate about libertarians, is how young impressional liberals get the impression that libertarians can be good allies, when in reality, when push comes to shove, libertarians will always side with neoliberals rather than heterodox economic liberals.

Which is why libertarianism would lead to the ultimate in crony capitalism.

Fuck you're not even one of the semi-coherent libertarians, spewing the fucking inflation fallacy. No you can't replace monetary policy with tax policy or fiscal policy, and inflation doesn't really result in much loss of real wealth as long as it's low-ish and stable and in general if you were a good little lolbertarian you'd be reciting other slightly less stupid arguments for the gold standard. They'd still be wrong though.

When it comes to free market, neoliberals are more free market than HELs, and libertarians fundamentally (and probably only) care about capitalism, so it's a no brainer who they're siding with. In practice, libertarians are in the republican party, not the democrats. So if anyone in this forum had the idea that libertarians were somehow in the middle between liberals and neoliberals, they should perish the thought. Libertarians are way over on the other side, and nowhere near yours.

I mean holy fuck what does 10% real CPI even mean? CPI is by definition a nominal value you fucking halfwit, and most people report a 3.5% annual growth in the US last time I checked.

CPI before it was tweaked contained food and gas prices, now those numbers were too scary so they took em out. How convenient.

When your salary does not grow at the same rate as real CPI the middle class will get eliminated.
