No you're full of shit and food and energy indexes are still measured and published by various government agencies. And yes, that's absolutely correct that real wages have fallen for wide swathes of the western demographic landscape in what is pretty much universally bemoaned as the widening of income disparity between upper and lower classes. What's incorrect is blaming it on the current modest inflation rate instead of the perverse market and social forces that libertarians worship like a golden calf.
Look, do you understand what you're doing here? Do you understand that, in this post:
You took three separate things and you assumed they were all related without having proven it.
By 98% devaluation, are you talking about the exchange rate for the dollar? Do you know that commoditty prices don't just rise becase of an increase in money supply? Did you know that inflation is only one factor in currency devaluation? Did you know that when inflation rises, central planers usually raise interest rates, and that raising interest rates makes a currency look like a more worthwhile investment (assuming other factors) and therefore appreciates? Did you know that central banks usually have inflation targets? Did you know that the US dollar is overvalued relative to other currencies and that this hurts american exports? Did you know that, when there is inflation because of monetary policy or inflation from economic growth both the price of commodities and wages (the price of labor) rise?
When the FED gives nearly 8 trillion dollar of free money(the peoples money) to its friends at Wall.ST which then profits billions and pays out huge bonuses, call me a conspiracy nut...
Stop jumping from one argument to another. It makes you look like a fanatic from a cult.
I did'nt jump topics. I pointed out that inflation is the process of transfering wealth from the middle class to the wealthy in the US.
No no, your contention was that the fall of real middle class wages was due to inflation, and that the government raises funds through inflation, which has nothing to do with this horse shit. The first everyone knows you're retarded about, and for the second any first year economics textbook will tell you how to calculate the revenue that a government raises through currency devaluation and put the figure at a fraction of a percent of the average annual federal budget, and even disregarding all of that, the presence of high inflation (not that inflation is high) is actually advantageous to debt holders which I guess nearly all Americans are nowadays.
It has everything to do with this. Had not the Gov been able to devalue money it would not have been able to function as an Empire catering to the rich at the expense of the working and middle class.
Swing and a miss. Godspeed gentlemen.

Yeah, the government can't slash regulations on big businesses, slash taxes on the wealthy, create tons of corporate tax loopholes and slash benefits for working-class people unless it has control of the money supply.
oh wait those things have nothing to do with each other
Inflation doesn't transfer shit to anyone. What you're talking about is the bailouts, and the problem with those wasn't due to inflation, but moral hazzard and the transfer of toxic assets to government accounts. Furthermore, inflation hurts investors, so it generally harms upper classes, and inflation due currency devaluation generally benefits lower classes because they are usually wage earners rather than people who gain most of their income from investments like the upper classes do.
And further furthermore, the reason why the US can spend inmense amounts of cash domestically and abroad with military bases in every corner of the world is because the US has a strong currency because of the size of the US economy, and given this, the dollar is reserve currency of the world, which at the same time attracts foreign investment which allows the US to finance its absurd spending. Notice i didn't mention currency devaluation. It's because the US doesn't usually do that.
interest rates are the passive mechanism that moves money to the rich from the non-rich.
Also the fact that the entire idea of bailing out industry is to STABILIZE PRICES. That is seriously, like, the entire point. The whole premise that prices would be more stable without a cohesive monetary policy to curb the business cycle is about as obviously wrong a statement as you can make.
