Too bad you couldn't read the nuance and the deeper meaning of what I said when you ran to Wikipedia to look up Ross Perot.

So is someone here arguing that the UN benefits us?

    What's next, Israel isn't a terrorist state?

If I had to choose between Alex Jones and Michael Moore it would be cut and dry.

So again, UN benefits us how?

Don't flip-flop on your statements then. Ron Paul has to share the positions with Ross Perot to be called "essentially the same". Get your logic straight.

    >Oh and the "stay out of politics" argument, fuck you.

    Listen you dolt

My point was Ron Paul is to the GOP primary what Ross Perot was to the 92 elections. A black hole for votes that will hurt and potentially lead to the nomination of a weaker opponent to run against Obama.

The GOP isn't gonna nominate someone they deem hostile to Israel dill with it.

Fact of the matter is you don't know what the fuck you're talking other than YouTube videos and Ron Paul talking points. Like I said stay out of American politics

Serious question, who do you think heped make the UN and which country is well known for ignoring UN decisions when they didnt benefit its agenda?

Also, tell me, has the irony of you mentioning the UN and Israel in the same post dawned on you?

I believe newt and mittens are both black holes for votes. Infact Paul has the best polling head to head against obama. By your logic everyone should drop out as Ron Paul has the best shot for a Republican win in the 2012 election.

But in an election everyone is allowed to present their positions and to have a chance in getting their share of the votes. The joy of having 4 generic pandering flip-floppers dilute the votes to give Ron Paul the victory is what Amurica is all about.

I don't see the irony, same can be said for India/Pakistan/Afghanistan, Syria/Lebanon, Iran/Iraq, etc etc.

I didn't ask if we started the UN or ignore the UN, I asked how the UN benefits us. At best, it's a tool we use to fuck with other countries we really have no business in fucking with. If there is some benefit we gain from fucking with other countries for no reason other than to expand our brand of imperialism then I'd like to hear it.

It's a question whose answer should not be given when requested rhetorically, probably, since the UN is a large and complex organization that exists within a large and complex sphere of geopolitics and so a blase appeal to ignorance that it should be nixed kind of misplaces the burden of proof. Nevertheless, here goes; basically the UN is ostensibly an embodiment of universalist/internationalist philosophy, ie. the idea of globalism, that the rule of law should exist irrespective of borders, that human rights are to be universally enjoyed and so forth. To that end it is the seat of authority for international law which is actually substantive for things like NGO's even if it isn't for rogue governments. As for those governments, common diplomatic wisdom says that it is important that governments have some sort of dialogue and give lip service to internationalism even if nothing concrete is really done that can be readily pointed to (indeed, plenty is done that can not be readily pointed at) since this correlates negatively with zero sum foreign policy which is very, very, bad. Besides this it collects reams of useful data, coordinates and funds and organizes lots of humanitarian and development projects, studies, but most importantly it is a font of legitimacy for international affairs.

But this is all common sense really.

WATCH: “Israel is not an Apartheid state! Boo-hoo-hoo!!!!”

[...]Poor Emily got a Xmas gift she’s not too happy about.

Emily is an enigma for me. While calling Israel an Apartheid state brings her to tears, her Dad’s (I only presume it’s her Dad, I have no way of knowing) attempt at a Victoria’s Secret joke makes her call him a “dick”. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but something seems awry.

I’m really trying to get Emily. She’s either an American Jew whose family celebrates Xmas, which I hear is quite common these days. Or, she’s a Christians United for Israel member.
Either way, although Emily is as American as they come, she actually reminds me more of Israel: She’s spoiled, she has no respect for the hand that feeds her, and she’s in serious need of a reality check.

    h/t Dimi Reider
The alleged Christmas present (see Santa wrapping) is Liberty Defined, by Ron Paul. The woman in the video misquotes Paul by saying he called Israel an "apartheid state."

    Page 327:

Meanwhile, within Israeli politics, there is a great deal of debate and diversity of opinion. The Liberal party in Israel [sic] often raises questions about the apartheid conditions that Palestinians are subjected to. Even newspapers in Israel are willing to discuss this issue openly, but it is essentially never permitted in the United States. Former President Jimmy Carter is now persona non grata for raising the question in his most recent book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid.
    EDIT:

Turns out she was the USC President for Christians United For Israel and is the assistant development director for StandWithUs, a pro-Israel advocacy group. So this chick is making this video in the hopes it will go viral. Bad Ron Paul, bad!

You just answered your own question! Doesn't matter if you don't like it. Of course, this assumes that your exaggerations and lazy statements are actually true.

The irony that you're missing is the complaining about US support for Israel while simultaniously complaining about the UN, the same organization which has tried in the past to reel in Israel before the US intercepts.

It's kind of funny really. In the same breath you question what the UN has done for the US while calling it a puppet for US imperialist foreign policy. And in the same way, you rail against the relationship between the US and Israel, without mentioning the fact that the UN is on the opposite end of that dynamic.

It sounds like the UN just can't win by you.

Something seemed fishy about a grown woman acting like that, but at the same time, oddly believable.
