unwarrented? It's a joke. Jokes are literally things that are not warranted - "Mazmaz, you are such a girl for drinking diet coke" .

It's a show that makes jokes of popular things going on. Al Gore and global warming was a big thing, and he is a very easy target to make fun of, hence the episode.
