I am highly confused by the new ele staves. Does this mean there are four new upgrades for each staff, or that they split somehow? And if they split somehow, how the hell are they going to retroactively go back and change the names of the staves that already went through the trials in the first place?

They just renamed the final elemental staves differently based on what aug you got on them so that you can macro in the correct one.

Anyone know how to "un-retard" my macro set? My old pc still has the tiny macro icons but my new one looks so large and gaudy and bright for some reason.

Pretty sure that whether or not they're big is based on resolution. Like if you're fullscreening on your new pc then you'll probably have the giant billboards of macros, but if you're playing in a window something like 2/3rds the size of your screen they'll be the OG tiny macros.

At least to the best of my understanding.

SE, in it's infinite wisdom, didn't alter the respawns on Quicksands caves mobs to a lower time and still retain the ultra long respawn dungeon time.
