I'll have so many hi potions when I get back to the game. So many.
I'll have so many hi potions when I get back to the game. So many.
So... I think I have somewhere near 2k points. Should I just spam it? Any suggestions on when to do it or any tricks? Or just spam it whenever?
not sure if extensive testing has been done i just did dial 5 over and over and as seen above hi pots for all!
Umbral is one of the possible outcomes iirc.PW key isn't bad, but still...meh. Saves you a few hours of zeni farming. They need to add Riftcinder/Riftross/Heavy Metal Pouches/Umbral Marrows to that shit.
I've spammed 2000 points before. I never seen this alleged HQ animation or box level up people mentioned earlier. I'm guessing if it's Dial 5 Gold Box, it stays that way through out spam
I'll confirm I got the HQ animation as well when I won a Novia Earring a few months ago. It's a faint burst of light around your character after you open the chest.
I've now got a couple hundred points stored up and I'm half-tempted to give up on big scores and spam dial 1 for vendables; it's not like I've been tracking my results but I don't think the NQs vary in quality between dials. I got my Novia off dial 4, so my extremely unversed hypothesis is that the dial number only affects your chance of landing an HQ reward. If there's a chance you can land an HQ even on dial 1, 5 shots at dial 1 vs. 1 shot at dial 5 seems like a false choice.
EDIT: let me phrase this differently. The existence of the HQ animation suggests two pools of loot. Since I've yet to see any discernable pattern in the NQ loot by dial, the most likely explanation is that the dials simply "enhance" your chance of an HQ with no other effects (if there are only the two discernable pools regardless of what dial you flip), like playing the bonus line in a casino slot machine. Slot machines are for suckers, of course, but the bonus line is for an entirely different level of sucker.
Just spammed bit more than 2500 points (I think?) on dial5, nothing good but I guess that was to be expected.
Honestly I would have liked to get some of the Ashu Talif attachments, since I'm a cheap gimp and still don't own any of those 8 ones lol
I spammed about 4K points between three characters this weekend on both 40 and 50 point boxes. A couple of times I had the 40 point box "upgrade" to the gold box, but never got any good loot from that. I did however get an Utsusemi: Ni scroll on my mule from a 40 point box. When that happened the game played the quest/mission complete music, the trumpet sounding thing (if that makes sense).
It does kind of make sense. I think it is broken down into normal drops, good drops, and awesome drops. Normal drops range from vendor trash to decent stuff like a good food item, but you get no signal. Good drops would be stuff like scrolls, virtues, attachments, sky pop items; and plays the quest complete music. Awesome drops would be stuff like king pop items, Novio earring, and Novia Earring; and does the white exclamation point. Good and Awesome drops share the same chance of happening, the Awesome drops would be the HQ version.
Has anyone seen anything to confirm or disprove this? I am trying to come up with something based off of other people's reports. In the thousands upon thousands of points I have spent between all of my mules, I have never received a good or awesome drop.![]()
Only thing i've read was the best drops such as earrings and the like came from darksday, so i've been spamming that exclusively on 4 characters. Pure hearsay at this point, but I'm willing to go with it for now.
Nah I doubt it. Probably all conjecture at this point. Just like the "face x direction" craft bullshit.
it's same day it was the 1st time you logged your char on FF, (and that also affect your drop/skill/hq.... rate)
Spoiler: show
Windsday, Waxing Crescent 7% if that matters.
