I don't think there's anything to dislike about the event in itself, it's more the sour taste it leaves in your mouth when you think about what a "daily reward system" could have been (looking at other games etc), while instead it became yet another completely random thing that required developer 10 minutes to create and even more to mantain.

So sure, it's nice and it's a free addition to the game. Nothing to complain about free stuff.
But the sour taste about what it "could have been" still remains.
I think possibly this is what SephYuyX was trying to say? Altough he definitely over-reacted to it.

Personally I'm glad about the system, but I also understand his feelings of disappointment.
