Just got through after about 10 tries.
Just got through after about 10 tries.
On hold right now, fingers crossed.
Edit: first try got through lol. Five minutes on hold, gave the guy my name, age and address and boom. Said it'd arrive in 3-4 weeks.
Also, he called it a cup. Motherfucker..
Two internets for Vandole, this is awesome.
Got through on the first try, was on hold for 3 minutes and had the order completed in 10 minutes.
Hawaiian lady on the other side was hitting on me during the call too, found it hilarious lol.

Perfect since I still have a few boxes of Double Dead Guy I bought at one of the brewery's yard sales for 35 bucks each.

Find a local pub around you that lets you keep glasses.
Every Monday, for example, I keep the glass from the brewery of the beer for that week. I've collected tons of glasses and this Stella glass is one of them. The best part is you get to try beer that isn't absolute shit and expand your most likely terrible taste.
Got through just now after 5 tries. The operator seemed very tired lol
My phone tells me I've called the number 26 times in the last 21 hours, but I finally got through. Chalice is on it's way.
I have to imagine the operators are so ready for this to be over; she sounded reasonably cheery but exhausted...
Nice find! Got through on 16th try coincidentally after listening to why a chalice is a chalice and not a glass before pressing 3...
Only two tries for me. I thought "all states except texas" was a joke lol
Edit: I've never heard an operator butcher the name of my street this bad until today.
one-shot the chalice boss.
Except Texas? You assholes. :<
Got my Chalice! In a million little pieces.....
Strange shape for a chalice.
They tend to have a more open shape:

As for Stella's reputation in Europe, it varies.
In Belgium (Stella being belgian), it's just a regular lager, no specific reputation. If you ask for "a beer" in a belgian bar, you'll get either a Stella (~40% chance), Jupiler (~45% chance) or Maes (~15% chance).
In the UK, it's called the "wifebeater", because the UK has strong taxations on alcoholic beverages over 3% ABV. A typical "lager" in the UK is therefore 3% watery swill (think Bud Light), so Stella's ~5% (not sure if it's 4.5 or 5.2, I know one is Stella and the other Jupiler, but I don't remember which is which) gives it either a fancy reputation or a binge-drinking reputation, depending on area apparently.
In Germany, they probably never heard of it, because they also have a strong beer culture and pretty good microbrews everywhere.
In France, it has no reputation because they'd rather drink their disgusting Kronenbourgs than buy foreign. When they're not sipping fermented grape juice and bumming each other, that is.
In the rest of Europe, you'll get a Heineken and that's it.
If anything, Heineken is the Budweiser equivalent.
They try to make it look classier outside of Belgium, hence the chalice. I did get some Stella's in these glasses in a bar or two in Leuven and Brussels though.
Guess this is as good a place as any.
I went to my local "World of Beer", and am always just overwhelmed with the selection. http://coconutcreek.wobusa.com/Menus.aspx ...fucking help me lol. I like the taste of Corona extra (until I get to the bottom of the bottle), if that helps with type of beer I'm into (cue jokes...). I also like Yeungling, Dos Ex, and other beers like that.
I don't even know where to start =( and I feel so bad when I ask for like 10 samples from the waitress and never find one I truly enjoy.
got mine in pretty good shape, just a small nick in the bottom of the chalice. it doesn't make PBR taste better though, i can vouch for that.
