Meanwhile in Israel
The dude makes it sound as if they wouldn't do that shit to any Jew spouting that shit in the middle of the streets.

very different from the terrorist harboring desert wasteland the media portrays it as.

This is what it looks like before we bomb the fuck out of it and subsequently pay U.S. contractors government subsidies to rebuild it.
wait so why does Iran think they can just get away with shutting down international shipping lanes used by other countries?
erm shit i just got trolled by saber rattling didn't i
why does US think they can get away with sanctioning all of Iran's oil and getting everyone else to sanction their oil too?
Same mentality I'd say.
i dont know how wide the Strait is, but isn't 12 miles considered your territorial waters?
oh no agreed there, i'm just saying its a bottleneck and not wide, so it wouldnt be terribly hard to shut it off. Obviously, the rest of the world is gonna be all http://i51.tinypic.com/19i5u.gif
This reads more like propaganda based on opinion than analysis based on facts. Anyone know what the hell this council on foreign relations is? Probably just another state sponsored propaganda machine.

But skeptics of military action fail to appreciate the true danger that a nuclear-armed Iran would pose to U.S. interests in the Middle East and beyond. And their grim forecasts assume that the cure would be worse than the disease -- that is, that the consequences of a U.S. assault on Iran would be as bad as or worse than those of Iran achieving its nuclear ambitions. But that is a faulty assumption. The truth is that a military strike intended to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, if managed carefully, could spare the region and the world a very real threat and dramatically improve the long-term national security of the United States.
All these PACs have the same board of directors. They all overlap with the same Neocons who pushed for the war w/ Iraq.
Spouting what shit? What did he do that required that kind of reaction? Mustafa Tamimi was shot at point-blank with a tear gas canister, on his own land, in his village, by the IDF (after they opened the door to the back of their armored jeep). That same week there was a riot at an IDF base by a group of settlers who set fires and vandalized the camp. No arrests were made initially. There's always been disproportionate force used against Palestinians and their supporters in Israel. That's why Rachel Corrie was run over in a fucking bulldozer and Tom Hurndall was sniped in the head while wearing an orange jacket to show he was a civilian (he was helping Palestinian children across the street because he heard the IDF firing into the crowd there; so he died saving one of those kids).
This isn't as bad as some of the 'Meanwhile in Israel' kind of videos.
I like the hesitation the American Jew shows (@1:22). That's the part of her that is American, reconciling the blatant stupidity in her actions with the values she grew up with in this country. Whereas in Israel, it's business as usual to march through the Muslim quarter singing nationalistic songs at 4 A.M.
Even if Iran can't maintain a blockage of the strait, the strait's shipping lanes would still be disrupted which would upset the global economy if they attempted to do so. On the other hand, if Saudi Arabia/UAE can't/won't make up the difference in oil should the world market lose Iran's oil (due to the sanctions) the world economy would also become disrupted again.
Iran is trying to change the question in Washington from "What can we do to Iran?" to "What will be the cost of doing something to Iran?" with this sabre rattling. The world economy is very fragile right now, remember.
That should be the question asked before any military action is taken anywhere. Replace Iran with whatever middle eastern country we decide to manifest destiny next."What will be the cost of doing something to Iran?"
HOW HIGH WILL MY GAS GO
So high that anyone only true G's are rich enough to make Molotov cocktails during a riot.
