You mean killing a vital asset to the nuclear program your risking your economy and national security for? Okay. If this was their strategy, you might as well kill someone who is not a nuclear scientist working on your program, but claim he is.

Interestingly, this is the first time i've seen anyone say that Iran is killing the people working for its own nuclear program. Maybe you can provide more concrete reasons for why you think this is likely the case.

Don't give me what ifs. Give me facts. Back up your assertion or retract it.

It's not an assertion. It's an opinion. I've already said earlier in the thread that these are opinions I've come to form from living in Iran/discussing it in my daily life.

So are we to take all of your posts this way? You're not being terribly clear. Because there is a long history of Mossad-suspected assassinations of key scientists associated with Iran's nuclear program, weaponized or otherwise.

I'll let you know when I start spewing facts.

You don't think the timing of this is a little too convenient?

Is this part of your unsubstantiated 'Iran wants a war' conspiracy theory?

I know it's hard for your westernized brain to accept, but it's true.
Why else would they keep poking at the great big angry bear (US) every chance they get? They're pretty much taunting the US.

Yes yes I keep forgetting how provocative Iran has been towards the west, building all those air/military bases encircling the US border. Oh wait...

Yes, Iran fucking hates US and yes, US started it all. That's the point though. The Iranian people hate the US more than they hate their own government. If the US was to bomb the oil industry of Iran, they can just tell the people who are starving that it's because the US attacked them and their industry. However, if the current sanctions remained in place with no other intervention, the government will no doubt topple come March when it's election time. People will say "why are we starving while you're in your comfort?" and they won't have any excuses (the sanction is not an excuse they can use because 1. it's hard to communicate to the uneducated what sanctions are and how they work and 2.people will just say "why don't you give the US what they want?").

The reason I said your westernized brain, is because you're still considering this government something that it's not. It is a theocracy. It has absolutely 0 cares for the people or the national interest. They only wanna remain in power as long as possible, and given their options, being bombed is the most likely scenario out of a sticky situation.

    General history video attached.

I didn't think the citizenry of any nation would ask its government to submit to demands of foreign powers.

Montreal Gazette - Iranian scientist dies in bombing

In the fifth daylight attack on technical experts in two years, the magnetic bomb delivered a targeted blast to the door of 32-year-old Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan's silver sedan as he was driven down a busy street near a Tehran university during the morning rush hour. The chemical engineer's driver also died, Iranian media said, and a passerby was slightly hurt.

Israel, whose military chief said on Tuesday that Iran could expect to suffer more mysterious mishaps, declined to comment. The White House, struggling for Chinese and Russian help on economic sanctions, denied any U.S. role and condemned the attack.
SFW Pictures, but spoiler'd for big.

    [...]

Another Iranian scientist blown up. The usual suspects (Israel and us, but was probably Israel or some terror cell we/Israel/both support like MEK).

Washington Post - Israeli military chief’s comments hint at involvement in attacks on Iranian nuclear program

[...]a throwaway comment by Israel’s military chief has hinted of possible Israeli involvement in attacks like the explosion that killed an Iranian nuclear scientist Wednesday.

[...]Israeli officials in the past have spoken somewhat giddily of the “unnatural” setbacks that have plagued Iran’s nuclear program. The timing of Gantz’s testimony, just hours before Wednesday’s assassination, was perhaps the strongest hint yet of Israeli involvement.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the chief military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, said: “I don’t know who settled the score with the Iranian scientist, but I certainly am not shedding a tear.”

Hazhir Teimourian, an Iran expert at the Limehouse Group of Analysts in London, stressed it was impossible to be certain who carried out the attack. But he said Israel was a logical candidate.

“The Israelis really have the ability and the incentive,” he said.

    You're both wrong.
It's not a ploy by the iranian govt to smear the US.
It's not Mossad taking preventive action.

It's a 405. Randomly exploding is considered a feature on Peugeots.

Are you seriously proposing that an Iranian nuclear scientist was killed by an exploding car? A bomb was attached to the car by a passing bicyclist.
