Win7 also did not recognize the ethernet port on my mother board. Find the model and go to the manufacturer's website. You will find the driver there.

sorry I was being a dick then I thought you were just in a hurry lol. If it's a pre-built PC then you should be able to get everything you need from the manufacturer's web site using the PC's model # and barring that, finding the motherboard's model on the manufacturer's website and going to the motherboard's site

Ok i have a Dell insiprion 570 service tag JBP4PL1 which driver do i need for the Ethernet? The page doesnt put it in stupid terms XD

    http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/...en&s=dhs&cs=19

I thought it would be the Broadcom-Driver under network but when i try to install it i get a error saying that basicly says the device is not present or could have been ejected :/

Not sure why it isn't detecting the hardware for the Broadcom since that should be motherboard, but you mentioned it has wireless internet so try the Atheros driver: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/...eId=2731098834

Ideally if that works and it's able to access the internet, you'll be able to run Windows Update and find a driver for anything else that's missing.

I've had two cases where my motherboard's ethernet port stopped working suddenly (two different motherboards). I had to use PCI Ethernet Card each time.

Though since you reinstalled, it might be because of that instead of just it randomly not working. Just something to point out if you tried everything and it still doesn't work (try a USB ethernet adapter or PCI ethernet card).

Windows won't always install your motherboard/network etc drivers for you. Since you have a dell, you typically always get 1 cd for a windows reinstall and another cd with all of the proper drivers for the computer.
