That actually makes a lot of sense as I did have problems with visual perception when I was little. I also recall I had troubles telling apart my dad from his coworker when I saw them on TV. It seems you can train it by learning to analyze a face feature by feature. I guess I just never really learned how to identify black people when I was a kid, since I grew up in a completely white society.
Seems I'm blind after all.
