Find a local florist there and get flowers sent or something. You haven't been dating long and you're far away. It says you thought of her, but isn't too grandiose or anything. And if you don't think it's enough you can give yourself some false modesty in a message with it. "I was hoping to do better this Christmas, but this will have to do for now."

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Could always, ya know check online stores near where she is, and have something shipped from there, to her, with very little cost

Since you haven't given any info on what your girl may be interested in besides ... a star, not much we can offer i think.

Also randomly, the first "gift" that came to mind, when I saw this thread title was... the alarm clock vibrator, that vibrates when the alarm "goes off" (only made in japan though) >.>

Could prepare a box for her and put some stuff in it, something to wear (depending on the weather over there), chocolates, some of your personal items, gifts from your city. Good thing is they'll be things that you've touched, seen, etc.

Shipping with USPS shouldn't cost more than 50 bucks. Not cheap, but not any expensive than buying a fucking retarded star.

If someone sent me a star certificate I'd dump her in a heartbeat. Its even worse than those medieval guys selling a room from heaven.

dammit yes... and you have to eat them all the day you get them too or else they go soppy. Finding a Florist sounds like a great idea though given your constraints.

    http://www.diamondcandles.com/
This site sells candles that have rings at the bottom of them, which range in price the better the ring is obviously. They cost $10, $100, $1000, or $5000 depending on how fancy you want the ring to be, but if you think this lady may enjoy candles or receiving jewelry, you may wish to give this site a looksie. I actually found out about this site last night when a pro League of Legends player was talking about how all his lady friends love receiving candles with jewelry in them, so I figure I would pass the knowledge to you.

I'd actually say not do something like this (no offense). After only dating a month a ring is not the way to go even if it's not like a special ring.

Yeah rings are kind of scary, if I got one from a guy I was dating for a month I'd be like 'uhhh...'. Other types of jewelry are usually fine, as long as they don't look like they cost hundreds of dollars, but even so I'd probably stay away from that for a little while...

Is she even the type of girl who likes to get flowers though? I just feel sorry for the flowers and they'll wilt in a few days, meh (much rather have chocolates myself). Get her a sack of potatoes, now THAT's a statement of everlasting love! Or at least they'll be around longer than the flowers.

Yeah normally I would suggest a plant instead, but don't know how long she would be abroad for and she wouldn't be able to take it back. Flowers are really expensive :/

And yeah rule of thumb is to avoid rings alltogether in case she might get the wrong impression, other jewelry is fine though. If the shipping wasn't an issue earrings are a good idea because they are available at pretty much any pricepoint, are pretty and potentially sentimental.

Actually, earrings would be fine to me, but that's because I really love getting earrings I guess.

While I love flowers, I don't really find them christmasy at all.

You still haven't said what she likes, but how about a gift card to a lingerie store, so she can get something fancy for when you guys meet again? Or you could buy a perfume online and just have it shipped to her. I can suggest a few if you know what kind of scents she likes.
